I let out a sigh and lick my bottom lip. “How do I put this… I think there’s a monster on the loose causing these murders, and somehow your sons and I are involved. It’s like history’s repeating itself. I know it sounds crazy, but I didn’t believe it was anything out of the ordinary till I read it for myself. What happens is the monster either possesses its victim or shape-shifts. I’m not sure, but it’s one of them, and the victims are usually one of the mates.” My stare drifts up to see she’s zoned out. Her face has gone pale, that whitish pallor that reminds me of the corpse I’ve seen. She doesn’t bat a lash, just remains still while she stares absently at me.

I gulped hard as I peddled my way to the creek, greeting some of the townsfolk on the way when I got stopped by Mrs Maisel, another fanatic of the supernatural. “I heard you’ve been hanging around Monsoon Creek Rory,” She said whilst trying to crack a nut with her fingers, the woman was a nutcase, “You better be careful. Werewolves and Vampires are looking to prey on a beautiful soft lass as yourself.” I rolled my eyes in disbelief, “Wolves, Vampires and whatnot don’t exist Mrs Maisel. I’m pretty sure it’s just a cooked up story by some story tellers from your—

“Let’s move to the back. “ I whisper to Alex and he hums, silently following as I lead the way. We take our seats at the far back and I drop the popcorn between us as my eyes move to the screen. “We missed a few minutes, but I bet it’d still be fun. “ I smile as I dip my hand in the popcorn to grab a chunk of it. No more than ten minutes into the movie and the popcorn is scattered around, almost empty in the paper with some on me and Alex. “Why did you choose this one, knowing you can’t handle scary movies?” Alex chuckles as I pull him towards me. “I didn’t know it’d be this scary. “ I murmur, peeking through my fingers and he shakes his head. I watch as the woman goes further into the fores

Trepidation crawls up my spine as it purposely creeps in my direction. Closing my eyes again, I repeat my mantra and try to calm down my breathing. “It’s not real, Zoe. It’s not real.” Taking another deep breath, I slowly open my eyes. A scream lodges in my throat as the mist rises and takes shape. I stumble back and look on in horror as it opens what looks like a mouth with sharp fangs and growls.

Lower jaw unhinging and falling away, face split virtually in half, his maw gaped nightmarishly open so that the wanderers could come— Spiders spilled from him, pouring from the grotesque orifice as though being forced out from deep within. The cinnamon-haired girl’s eyes flew open in mortal dread, her whimpers rising into high, jerking stifled screams which caught in the back of her throat. The long-legged things scurried over the doomed teenager, swaying back and forth upon her before striking with frothy fangs.

He could feel the children pressed against him trembling. Roy’s nose tingled with a mélange of latex and machine oil the same moment the first nervous chuckles erupted around him. The children applauded when the appendages anchoring the creature to the roof of the tunnel finally carried it out of sight. It was only when the machine turned and allowed Roy a clearer look at its face through strands of dangling black hair that he remembered and let his breath escape. That . . . that was the monster from Curse of the Spider People. The one the lead turned into at the end. And—I remember now—that furball outside was from Crescent Moon.

My heart was racing marathons and my breathing was getting deeper and quicker. I'm scared. Someone help me, please. The lights quickly flickered back open revealing this dark shadow-like person right in front of me. It was the same one I saw at the library the other day. His whole body was surrounded by dark fog waving from him. I screamed so high that I thought I broke my vocal cords. He took me by my neck and started choking me. My hands were clawing on his wrist hoping that it will somehow loosen his grip on me. It didn't. He was by far one hundred times stronger than me.

But the pain didn’t exist there, moreover her hands were placed at the center of her chest between her heart and mana core. Her body started to transform, turning into an inhuman monster that was described by rumors as the “Mist Creeper” a being that could not be defeated with just blade and magic. The Mist Creeper was notorious for devouring adventurers and removing their sanity. But it was supposedly only rumors told by adventurers to look better or to give themselves something to boast about, up until they saw the real thing. Lyon felt shiver down his spine as the events seemed like it had happened right in front of him before, it was as if he was seeing a de javu.

Jay was gone. Jess tried to turn to run but was unable to pull her feet from the tar. She tried to dig out of it. The more she clawed at the substance the more took its place. Jess suddenly became aware of the thing standing over her. She could feel it breathing on her and she saw its giant claw like feet. Jess was to scared to look up but allowed her eyes to creep up inch by inch. She found herself staring into it's eyes. She let out a ear-piercing scream. “Gotcha pretty girl.” It snarled before opening its mouth and swallowing her whole.
