Of course Christopher Henry Jameson—also known as Beast- wasn't the average man. He stood 6'5" and weighed three hundred and two pounds. He didn't like the extra three pounds. He rather liked being in the two hundred weight range even if it was by just one or two pounds. Regardless, there wasn't an ounce of fat on his perfect body. Beast was muscles on top of muscles, yet not hulking like some of the others that worked in the Marine Corps division assigned to The Department of Home Land Security, or better known as DHS. Too big made you slow. He'd seen guys bigger than him hospitalized during the CRUCIBLE training.

Edmund moved his hand in one swift motion until the healing water ball hit the sword monster's head and locked it in the water from top to bottom. There was an ear-painful howl that came out of the sword monster's mouth. "Aaaaaaaaakkkkhhhhh ..." The water ball wrapped around the sword monster's body was seen bubbling and boiling. There was a hissing sound, and black smoke billowed out from the body of the sword monster that seemed to be fluttering in pain. The monster was convulsing in the water ball. He tried to break free from the water healing ball's cage but failed. The monster's body looked weak.

He says in his demonic voice. "Make me." I dare him and he rises up to the challenge coming for me in his monsteraus form. "Oh I will make, bowing down to me will be the last thing you ever do!" He lunges for me, causing a powerful collision which knocks me off balance. My inexperience is working against me as Soliaire now has me pinned down. "You are strong," he starts to morph back to his human self, obviously confident that he doesn't need his demon self to take me on. "But not strong enough." He starts to drive his hand into my chest, going for the heart, only this time his hand is practically on fire.

Trixie looked at Dradon as he took a step back. “Oh yes, I am real. I’m not just a story told in the bible as one of the creators first creations or a folklore to you half breeds.” The monster said as he stepped out of the darkness. He was almost the size of Dradon’s dragon form, he looked like a dragon too, but had two long horns that curled backwards, his teeth were sharp, and long like a human arm. “Ooohhh, shit we about to die ain’t it?” Trixie whispered to Dradon, as she looked at the monster that wanted her. “Yea, we might be.” Dradon whispered as they both took steps back.

In the soul, maybe. Pain crawls up my spine like fire ants. The drive back is a lengthy one. Every bone in my body aches from the fight. It’s practically a blinding pain as my tendons stretch in ways that they shouldn't. If I were a real werewolf, I’d shift. Heal. Be done with it. Instead, it lingers just like everything else.

Her heart ached as Elizah turned her gaze out the window. "I’m sure the perpetrator wasn’t Liam. The police caught the wrong person, Julie. I don’t want to live like this. They let the real perpetrator walk free while Liam is imprisoned!" Elizah’s voice was heavy and filled with anger. Julie fully understood her sister’s feelings but could do nothing except try to calm her down. Julie fell silent, recalling something: "monsters." Yes, Elizah screamed "monsters," meaning there was more than one perpetrator. "Monsters. What do you mean by monsters? Did you feel there was more than one person?"

Mason staggered forward, blood smearing his shirt, his face pale. "You’re making a mistake," he rasped. "He’s not on our side." Evelyn didn’t look at him. She couldn’t—not when the guilt of Emily’s body still lay between them. "I know," she said. "I know exactly what he is." Her eyes locked with Damian’s again. A monster. And now, for the first time in her life, Evelyn was about to fight monsters—by becoming one. Damian stepped closer, his voice dropping low enough that only she could hear.

Zoranna and Luna both looked at him as they waited for Xolvion to expand on what he had said. "As you already know. Monsters can evolve into a better stronger form of their species, depending on their strength and experiences. A normal goblin would evolve into a hobgoblin for say." Xolvion explained, getting a nod from Luna. "Yes, I am aware of that master," Zoranna said, happening to be a monster herself, even though she was born a vampire. "I believe that this little goblin is in the top tier of her species and will prove useful once fully grown." Xolvion then said, getting a nod from both Luna and Zoranna.
