Alpha Theron’s POV “Answer me, Alek. Do you believe in this book that Astrid is a monster?!” I demanded him. When I read the book, it kept repeating the words monster, abomination, and danger. In the first part, it seemed like a harmless book just sharing information with the reader. It contains what an Almega is like, an offspring of an Alpha and an Omega, and it shares how an Almega is different from a normal werewolf.

I know Niobe and Selene said that our children were protected, but I can’t turn off my almost instant protective instincts. I was able to get away from the robo monster with Danielle and Demitri’s help. She had me lead it to the fountain in the packhouse courtyard. I was just barely able to stay out of his grasp though. These monsters move so unnaturally to the element they are made from. This solid metal guy moves as though he is made of rubber, but I found out the hard way, he is solid metal, my broken right hand proves it. Daneille started shooting him with water, distracting him enough to let me get away with Demitri so we could fight the flame monster.

Before my fingers even reached it, the book opened by itself. Just like it always used to whenever a new page filled up. My chest tightened. The page was blank for two seconds. Then words began to form. Like invisible ink deciding to show itself. {Your vampire side is not dead son.} I swallowed. {I believe you assumed it died but it is not.} My fingers curled into fists. {Your inner monster is in a deep slumber.} My breath grew heavier. {Use your fire to bring it back to life.}

I look at him one last time and face the monster in front of me. The monster was white a big white monster and he had a lot of big eyes on his whole body, his horn in his head was three big and longhorns, his nose was long as well and his skin was crinkle and ugly. He has a sword in his back and it's different from the other sword because it's black. “Watch out for the monster that has a black sword weren’t the friendliest creature and his sword was dangerous, anything could be cut by that sword turns into a monster, and would be his minion, for the rest of your life.” that was what Remiel said.

Next to everyones name except for mine was the word deceased. As I turned the pages there were drawings of what the author thought was my monster but the more pages I flipped through, the more the images changed and began to resemble me and the way I looked when I shifted. A large black monster neither wolf nor vampire but something in between, it had the extended teeth of a vampire but a snout like a wolf, the ears were small and pinned to the head whilst the body was huge, muscle after muscle bulging everywhere. Massive green monsters that were quite intelligent and savage beyond save. “We– we can do it. Attack!!!” Even Idham wasn’t sure about it. He was hesitant for a couple of seconds before holding onto his firm belief. However, the belief would only come true if they had an experience. For now – as if being predicted by Shadow – they were played out of the book.

I quickly come across a book on bonds, but it takes me ages to find one about demons. I search through every book and shelf until, finally, at the very top, I spot a small, extremely dusty book. Although it doesn’t explicitly say “demons,” its title, “Monsters of Our World,” is the closest I can find.
