said Betty. She unzipped her handbag and took out a flyer Marietta had given her. "Look, this is the competition I'm talking about. It's a short story contest that will be announced to the public in a few days. "However, this contest is a last-minute thing being held in Marietta's honor, so the timing is very rushed. They want submissions next month. "Take a look and see if you want to participate in it. Your short story is only about a few thousand words long anyway."

“Otherwise, our time here will be a waste.” “Or we could enter a contest.” “Huh?” She pointed at the banner highly displayed in front of them. “It is a fruit-eating contest. The winner gets two crates of eggs and a half bag of flour and rice.” Rose wondered why her excitement grew as she read out the details. “That is a pretty good deal, isn’t it?” “It is.” He looked hesitant. “Should we leave?” She looked around. “I am sure we can find a quick job to-”

We have a launch party scheduled for Friday night, and you leave on Wednesday. I was wondering if I could convince you to stay an extra few days so you could come with me? It only gives you 3 or 4 days of downtime though, so I understand if you don’t want to.” “Of course! I’d love to,” cutting him off, eager to extend my stay with him however I can. I probably responded way to fast, my cheeks redden again. “Great! I’m glad to hear it. Moonlight Security has a product reveal, and I would really love for you to be there for it. I’ll let you finish gett

I said and they all nodded. “I’ll take care of the invite myself, when is the contest going to be held?” Lady Lena asked. “In two days,” I blurted out, some gasped, I knew that wasn’t enough time to prepare the fighters who had no inkling they’d even be fighting to begin with. “That’s fast, but I guess it could work,” Lady Lena said, “excuse me, I better get to inviting all neighboring alphas,” she said, I nodded at her to go ahead and she walked out of the courtroom.

Luckily for me, the application deadline lasts until the end of May, by which time I may have graduated and I could completely participate without any problems. “Rosalynn.” I was awakened by Nolan's somewhat annoying call. “Yes?” Turning to look at him, I put the phone down to listen to him continue. He pulled me against his chest and said in a low voice, “I've called you so many times. It's just a small contest, I can organize it for you." “I don't see that competition as a joke, Nolan.” I furrowed my brows.

Terrence took the tray and pulled out all the food. Terrence fed me. I grumbled that the tofu was still superheated. I thought he was purposely pissing me off “Have you heard of an exciting contest?” Terrence asked me. “What kind of contest is that?” Terrence frowned. “I don't understand, but some students at Miracle Academy talk about this contest non-stop. In other words, whatever you create here tomorrow will be put up for auction," he announced, concluding the meeting. As the other participants filed out, bidding their goodbyes to Mr. Martinez, Cassia headed to her office to change. She picked up her phone and saw a series of missed calls from her friends. She quickly called back, recounting about the day's incident. As she made her way out, Liam suggested a company party to celebrate her success, to which she agreed. She smiled and waved at him before leaving the building.

I said and Kay's eyes fell upon me in an instant. "What are you doing Mantha?" He asked in a whisper. "I said I accept the contest." "Good, I see you are quite brave." his dad said with a nod of his head. "That's it, the contest would take place next week, on Kayden's birthday," he announced and walked away before anyone could say any other thing. "A week... We have just a week." I mumbled to Cara. "Say goodbye to sleeping, I am never going to let Lauren defeat me," Cara mumbled, with determination in every one of her words.
