So, you are allowed to read only those stories that make you happy.” I bit my lower lip as I browsed through the pages of the book; briefly glancing at the ending. What Kain didn’t understand was that such happy endings hurt more than the tragic ones. They filled me with a longing I knew could never be fulfilled. They reminded me of everything that I could never have.

And the magic, I need to test what my magic is like now that I am different both physically and emotionally. I am too wound up to really focus on anything specific. I tried a romance novel, but it was a slow start and it doesn’t match my mood. I found a murder mystery, but it wasn’t what my brains wanted. As I was putting that back on the shelf I noticed an old green leather bound book.

It can really suck. My phone beeps, I slide it off my bedside table that has five books on it I’m currently reading. I am a bit of a mood reader and can have at least five books on the go at one time, ranging from romance to thriller and the odd crime book thrown in. Liam always takes the piss out of me and wonders how I don’t easily become confused with the characters and the places or plots. I wonder this too but as soon as I pick a book up, I’m instantly transported to the place, situation and characters I get attached too. I’m always so invested in my characters, it’s crazy.
