Amara's POV The moon, a heavy, swollen orb of molten gold, hung in the ink-black sky, radiating an almost sentient glow. It felt less like a celestial body and more like a silent, all-knowing presence, aware of the profound, sacred event that was about to unfold. Its luminescence streamed through the large window of the guest chamber, painting the familiar room in hues of silver and shadow.

I looked up at the sky and noticed that the sun and the moon were drawing near, indicating the arrival of the total lunar eclipse —the blood moon. “Where are you taking me?” I asked, resting my head on his chest, trying to control the pain and tears that kept threatening to escape. “There's a secret place, known only to our trusted wolves. This lake is blessed by our goddess Luna, and its water holds mystical healing powers.” I was surprised as Harvey lowered his head and planted a gentle kiss on the top of my head. “Your pain will be eased.”

Azalea's POV Every full moon night, something strange happens. I don't know exactly what happened last night. But as I washed my hair in the sink this morning, I could vividly recall my dream last night, when I "wolfed-out" and ran through the streets of Brooklyn. The moonlight illuminated my path, made everything enveloped in silver light, and I was completely happy. I haven't been that happy in a long time. The thing is, I'm not a wolf. I'm an ordinary human... right? And werewolves don't exist... right?

“Yes Luna, I do. But please understand I don’t like Frankie because he is going to be Alpha someday. Even though we haven’t really associated in the same friend groups he has always been kind. Frankie doesn’t walk around like some entitled jerk just because he is going to be the next Alpha. He treats everyone with kindness and that says a lot about a person. He’s the most handsome guy I know, but he’s so kind to others and that is attractive too.” Luna Fran smiled and said, “Will you be old enough for the ball this upcoming Blood Moon? It would be interesting to see if you are in fact mates.” “We’re having a ball for the next Blood Moon? I will be 18 just in time on October 29th.” I replied

He raised his head at Matt at the alarming question raised. "That should be this full moon." Alpha Andrea finally answered even with Fiona's intent to intrude, I smirked behind my puffy face from the food I was trying hard to masticate. "Oh I see, that is perfect timing, the season of the Moon Goddess, blessing the Aloha and his Luna, we could have what such auspicious date, but we're so engrossed in each other that as a common Gemma and Omega we choose a normal day." Matt let out his hand scrolling through his phone and Alpha Andrea's eyes were red, and the redness I could see calming to purple anytime soon.

Stephen smirked. “Yeah you’re right. This place fits me well.” They all talked for a while but now it was getting dark the moon was coming out. “We should probably go inside.” Greg said. “I think the supper’s also ready.” Stephen told. Dara kept on looking at the moon. It seemed as the most beautiful thing she has ever seen. Ellen shook Dara, “Come on honey it’s getting dark and cold.” Dara went inside with her family but she wished to stare at that beautiful thing for a little longer.

Yet. “For what, Luna?” Moon asked using the mind-link. It was for the first time that he openly addressed Miracle as his Luna. Miracle’s expressions turned sweet. Her snout raised in the air. She sniffled the surroundings. The fresh air, the calm forest, the chirping birds returning to their nests, the rustling leaves, and the forming dew drops all mesmerized her nostrils. Moon was blessed. The sight was heavenly. For him, it was once in a lifetime. Looking at your mate when she is so calm and relaxed… was something beyond words. Something Exorbitant.

And we still have many challenges to face to become even stronger. A smile appeared on my lips as I savored the moment. Currently, we are all staring at the enormous moonlight. It’s very beautiful. I don’t know how Luna did it but the moon actually glows automatically when night time comes but still disappears when the day comes. It was like there was a hidden button on the moon that only Luna knows. I just shrugged my shoulders and set the thoughts aside.

Orion asked under his breath. Luna reached inward. Her connection to the Moon hummed like a taut string. *This is not Mine,* the Goddess said slowly. *Not fully. The stars move to a music even I did not write alone.* “Even You do not know?” Luna murmured. *I know enough,* the Moon replied. *This is not a small thing. Watch.* As the day wore on, the halo around the sun grew brighter. The light it cast changed. Shadows lengthened and blurred.

But the moment he does, he slumps to the ground and buried his head between his knees. “Helios!” I call out frantically, waving my arm. “Helios Morningstar!” In the reflection, I see Helios lifting his head at the sound fo my voice. “Laurel?” Then for a brief moment, he seems to see me, and his face breaks into a smile. Then the streams started to flow again. “Laurel,” the Moon Goddess speaks as she plays with the grass underneath her feet. Then she looked up at the night sky and says, “Do you know why the first Luna released the black mist after her child a long, long time ago?”
