But tonight, the valley was drenched in an unnatural, terrifying twilight. High above, the crescent moon was no longer silver. A slow, creeping shadow had begun to eat away at its edge, bleeding a deep, bruised crimson light across the sky. The stars had faded into an ominous slate-grey, and the wind had died down to a breathless, suffocating silence. The cosmic clock had struck its final hour. The Blood Eclipse was here.

“You know you can always ask for help, right?” “I know, but really, I can do it myself,” said Ronny, who still walked with a limp. The moonlight biased through the tree branches. As we walked further, the glorious moon appeared behind the dark clouds. “Oh,” I gasped, “It’s already Full Moon.” I halted my steps and enjoyed the moonlight that showered right to my body. The moon usually lasts for two to three hours.” Luke filled them in on the significance of the moon.

Why was she so mad? I felt a soft breeze behind me, enough to blow my hair in my face, making me turn around looking up to see the moon high in the sky, glowing brightly. Almost as if someone was giving me a sign. I blinked up at the bright glowing satellite a few times, was it my mom?

Frankie replied after looking at my eye. “Why are you girls up here anyway? None of you are 18 yet.” Frankie asked. When I looked up I could see Frankie thinking before he spoke. “Well make sure you stay out of the way. The moon will be at its apex in about 30 minutes.
