My eyes were enormous circles with jagged lines coming out—lightning, maybe. Underneath, in Rowan’s careful, wobbly handwriting: THE KERSED LUNA. The second panel had a moon with angry eyebrows and what I thought might be teeth. A tiny figure (me, presumably) stood under it, frowning. Panel three showed a blob with too many arms, and what I assumed was Malric’s crown, being bitten by a smaller blob with pointy teeth. Panel four was just me again, this time with a wolf tail and a baby in my arms, the angry moon now… smiling? Or having a stroke. It's hard to say.

I make my way to the fruit stand, exchanging a subtle sign with the vendor. “I’ll take a basket of persimmons, hibiscus, apples, and watermelon,” I say. As he hands me the basket, I slip the letters into his hand. He nods discreetly as he tucks them slyly in his coat. I pay him for the fruits before moving on. At the balm stand, an elderly woman, Aria, greets me warmly. “Grand Luna Eve is well, I hope?” “She’s fine,” I reply. “Just complaining about her joints.”

He gestured to the girls to continue their massage and immediately Xavier let out a slight bow and took his leave.

I peered through and I hear a wolf howling and they stepped inches back, as he knocked her down gasping for breath, she sure was going to be okay only if she gets tended to, the wolf turned to face us and they back away defeatedly, I closed in with Moon shielding her, I didn't recognise the wolf until the glint in his eyes were directed to my gaze, he was the angel I never expected would show up yet he did, "Andrea…" I muttered slowly before collapsing, the crimson ink that ran through my veins was almost drained out and I turned pale, he stared at us from afar as Moon tapped on my cheeks attempting to take me up, darting away towards the road that led outside the woods, he wanted to leave.

Mile told her to bring back some of those delicious pizzas from last time. When she’s gone, Mile asks if I have any plans for the day, I tell her about Sky’s message, and at the mention of the blond enforcer, Mile finds the jar of jam to be very interesting, swallowing a giggle, I don’t question her though, I don’t exactly enjoy it when others bombard me with questions about Zayne. I do however wonder if what they had was a one time thing because of the influence of the full moon or if it’s to become a thing, I suppose only time will tell.

Their powers are similar to the moon goddess.” My heart sinks to the pit of my stomach, chest tightening. “What happened to them?” “They were wiped out.” She flips the page. “These clan of wolves didn’t live among regular wolves because they were hated, envied for their strength. We heard that regular wolves tipped off human hunters, and every single one was killed.”
