Mitne I will ignore the steps for now. I am curious to learn how this moon magic works. Chapter 4: Full Moon’s Claim The full moon hung heavy in the stormy sky like a watchful eye, casting silvery light through the attic windows of the old lodge. Elara stood by the dusty window, her braided hair falling over her shoulders, cream hoodie pulled tight against the chill that seeped through the cracks. Rain still whispered against the glass, blurring the pine forest beyond into soft, dreamy shapes. She felt like that young girl in the stories—reflective and uncertain under the cool blue glow of uncertainty—yet drawn toward something warmer, a golden pull she couldn’t resist. Her body hummed with the aftermath of stolen moments, a secret fire that made every breath feel heavier.

Help me survive this place and rescue my mom. When I opened my eyes, the bright light of the moon streamed onto my bed from the skylight. That's wrong. It's the waning phase right now. I sat up, confused. There was someone next to my bed, I sensed. Moonlight reflected off of them so brightly it was hard to look at them directly. The person leaned closer, and I realized that they weren't reflecting moonlight; they were made of moonlight. The beautiful woman gave me a benevolent smile. Her long hair floated dreamily through the air as though we were underwater. A crown of stars ringed her brow.

My fingers ran along spines, brushing faded lettering until one title stopped me cold: "Moon Brides & The Marked." I pulled it down, careful not to snap the decaying spine, and laid it across the table. Inside: sketches. The first page showed a woman on her knees, hair streaming back like it was caught in wind, a crescent moon carved behind her ear—and a man on fire in front of her. My stomach turned. The next few pages were worse. “The Moon Bride,” it read, “is chosen by divine design, not by fate’s whim. Her bond is not forged by desire—but by divine necessity. To stabilize or to destroy.”
