A sunny morning with the sound of birds chirping woke Olivia from her deep sleep, it had been a long time since she had slept that soundly, usually she would wake up in the middle of the night to see Owen's condition, who must have woken up because of thirst. But right now, she's sleeping really well. She felt her body so fresh when she opened her eyes.

I peered my eyes open and stared across the room to find what looked like a white shapeless blur pecking against the window. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. “What the hell?” I hushed. I stumbled out of bed and carefully stepped over to the window. I heard Lucas stir awake. “Harper? What is it?” “I don’t know, there’s this white owl perched on the windowsill,” I said. Suddenly, Lucas shot out of bed and came over to stand beside me. Before explaining what was going on, he opened the window, and the owl hobbled into the room. I gave Lucas an extremely dubious look.

I breathed a sigh of relief and opened my eyes. I kept thinking about what happened in the alley and the red marks on Hunter's forehead. He had red markings that were different from those monsters. Hunter's appearance didn't drain my energy either. But still, I was disturbed by the red sign. "What does all this mean? I didn't see any red markings on Hunter's forehead before." Owen returned with a glass of warm milk. He put it on the table right beside my dagger. He sat on the couch not far from my bed, resting one leg on the other.

Then the howls began. Figures in wolf masks darted between the smoke. Ropes wrapped around axles. Saddlebags torn open. Supplies spilled into the snow. Not a single sword was drawn. Its surrounding environment was great, and it was normal for there to be wild animals from time to time. Olivia had just fallen asleep. She hadn't gotten into a deep sleep yet. She immediately opened her eyes when she heard the owl hooting. Normally, Ethan would already be home at this hour, but he wasn't home yet. Madam Burgess hadn't been staying in recently, too. She was the only one in the enormous house. The room was in complete darkness. There were only some warm yellow lights in the yard. She saw a large owl as soon as she opened her eyes.

Jamal’s POV The message from the owl arrived under the cloak of night, a messenger of the unseen realms. Its white feathers glowed in the moonlight, and in its beak, it carried a small vial—a vessel containing an otherworldly concoction. The air crackled with arcane energy as the owl descended, talons gripping the edge of my windowsill.

"Make a wish, star child." I close my eyes. And just as I inhale, ready to blow them out- CRASH. Oh, you have got to be kidding me... The window near the door explodes inward. Everyone ducks and shifts; wolves growling, eyes flashing, some already halfway into transformation. Ezra pulls Rhea behind him. Axel’s hand goes to his belt, where a dagger glints.
