Most Boring Book Ever! Novels & Stories

I always find my new work so predictable and it doesn't really excite me. But any book I've written is way better than this piece of crap. I can't even make it through to the end. The characters have no development, there's a lack of setting, the story arc has been used a million times, and the entire book lacks substance. I mean, look at this excerpt from my 'great' book.

We were in Leo’s old room, and I was looking around, although the place was dust-free it was obvious that nothing had been changed or moved around. There were a lot of books on the shelves, and most were gibberish to me. Programming, analytics, and all that boring stuff. "You really were a geek weren’t you…" I mused, crouching down as I took out one of the books, only to see so many notes that my head began hurting. Damn. Whoever said you can’t get a headache from just staring at a textbook, was lying; you really can! I shoved the book back and scrunched my nose in disdain, making him raise his eyebrow.

“I need to stay as close to Alpha Aiden as possible just in case he wakes up and needs my ethical help“ I tried to convince myself. *Yawn Yawn Yawn* The book I’m reading is so boring ,filled with histories that I get really sleepy when I’m just on the 3rd page. ***** “This teddy bear is so big and warm” I whispered, wrapping my arms around the big teddy bear on my bed. “First you named a rabbit after me and now you are calling me a teddy bear …I wonder what next will come out of those lips of yours' ' came a husky sleepy deep voice.

I heaved a sigh and said, "I'm not in the mood to go. I'm tired, my body wants rest. Besides, brilliant people tend to be lazy because they would rather spend much time thinking than doing." It won't hurt to try again. She might had a change of heart and allow me to skip class instead. A day of felicity it will be, I got to miss seeing my classmates. My eyelashes batted dally, as if a weight was being added to it. I'm drowsy. It was already one in the morning when I rested my eyes from reading. The book Selfish Gene written by Richard Dawkins caught my attention. It was a hobby of mine to read good books. A day wouldn't be complete with out it. I had borrowed almost everything at the library

Follow, vote, comment and share... Lyka's P.O.V I didn't go to sleep the whole night as I just couldn't. The nightmares will return so I decided to go in the library. I have been seated for over five hours in the damn library with nothing to eat or drink as I read the old books and papers with a smell that makes me want to puke. My eyes have not dared to close on me as I read the thirtieth book. I have not found any useful information that can locate the blood moonstone and finish this once and for all.

With a satisfied smile, I walked back to my cubicle and awaited the drama. Barely two hours later, different sighs and groans rang through the office. A guy named Jace was the first to lash out. He dumped the manuscript with a huge thud and announced loudly to the office, “I'm done! This is the most boring and uneventful story I've read in my life.” Anna groaned from her seat. “Emily, are you sure this is really Wesley's book?” “How can the man who had written so many genuis books write this?” complained another colleague.

Don't overdo it. I don't know how I could possibly do any less physical activity. I've read three books this week. Scrolled through my phone until my eyes burned. Binged every mindless show N*****x has to offer until the characters' voices blur together into meaningless noise. The boredom is almost worse than the pain— it gives my mind too much space to wander into dangerous territory.

Nothing eventful happens over the next few days besides boredom. There are only so many spots on the wall to count and the books they've left me to read are depressing novels that do nothing but put me to sleep. I've requested a meeting with the president about my inactivity and haven't heard back.

My eyes finally drifted to the book placed on the table, 'How To Be A Good Personal Assistant'. I'm not really a fan of these types of books, my best genres were romance or action but I'm forced to so I pick it up and scroll through. After reading uninteresting stuff I finally lost my patience and slammed the book on the desk! Why couldn't they just get to the point?! "Anything the problem Miss Brown?" Asked Lexus with an amused look on his face and I furrowed my brows in frustration and let out a sigh. "It's nothing Mr Gray, everything's fine!!" I mentioned the last part through gritted teeth and picked up the book again.
