Or a secret that no one knows.” she whispered the last part, winking at me. I looked up, thinking hard for what to say that wouldn’t be so pathetic. After a while when nothing comes to mind, I let out a long sigh.

But standing here, surrounded by love and laughter, I knew that sometimes the best things in life are the ones you don't plan for. And this little surprise? It was going to be the best adventure yet.

I couldn't hold myself, and I let my stupid mouth run. "I am giving up on you!" I replied. I watched his face pale and confusion etched on his face. "Did I do something?" He asked, unsure of what I had just said. "No. It's this thing that I do where I randomly blurt out lyrics. So when you said 'say something', it reminded me of that song by a great big world." I quickly add. His relaxes a little. "Ohh. My heart jumped a little when you said that to me." He said, chuckling a bit. I knew I shouldn't have done that, why did I have to ruin everything with my weird antics.

The kind of pointless discussions people only had when they were comfortable together. Then Leone said something funny. I do not even remember what. Only that it made me laugh. A real laugh. The kind that left your chest feeling lighter afterward. He smiled. Watching me. Not saying anything. Just watching. And suddenly the words were there. Simple. Obvious. Waiting. I did not plan them.
