Marie Have you ever heard that ridiculous saying that delusional people share on their F******k, no offence, the one that goes something like the reason you can't fall asleep is because you're awake in someone else's dream. That quote. I can't believe people actually believe that. But then again sometimes, when I'm wide awake in the middle of the night, what if that's true, and if so who could possibly be dreaming about me? Is it the love of my life or a complete stranger? Is it my mom or my enemy. We can't control our dreams is what people often say, then why is it that most of our dreams revolve around the people we care about the most or the least?

He shouldn’t be so selfish as to try and take it away from me. “Away with all these finding ourselves things. Tell me something about yourself.” She did a little dance as she adjusted how she was sitting. “What about me?” I held back my laughter. I was the most boring person ever. And there wasn’t any lesson to learn from my life. She’ll be bored to death before I even begin. “Just anything. A random fact about yourself. Or a secret that no one knows.” she whispered the last part, winking at me. I looked up, thinking hard for what to say that wouldn’t be so pathetic. After a while when nothing comes to mind, I let out a long sigh.

But standing here, surrounded by love and laughter, I knew that sometimes the best things in life are the ones you don't plan for. And this little surprise? It was going to be the best adventure yet.

I couldn't hold myself, and I let my stupid mouth run. "I am giving up on you!" I replied. I watched his face pale and confusion etched on his face. "Did I do something?" He asked, unsure of what I had just said. "No. It's this thing that I do where I randomly blurt out lyrics. So when you said 'say something', it reminded me of that song by a great big world." I quickly add. His relaxes a little. "Ohh. My heart jumped a little when you said that to me." He said, chuckling a bit. I knew I shouldn't have done that, why did I have to ruin everything with my weird antics.
