I can’t. Heat floods through my veins. The panic dulls, the edges of my thoughts turning foggy. I blink slowly, my mind drifting, my limbs numb. Everything feels distant, unreal. The fire in my blood quiets, the desperate need fading into something softer. I feel better, but when I try to remember why I was fighting, try to hold onto what just happened, there’s nothing. My mind is a blank slate with no memories in my mind whatsoever, and the strangest thing is I don’t feel panic upon realizing it. I’m not alarmed, I’m not frightened. Rather, I feel sad

'' I said. Just before he left, he stood for a moment as he thought about something. I tried poking into his mind to see what I could find but everything came out blank. He wasn't giving into the poking and the only thing I could do was to wait for him to tell me what he was thinking of. ''That stuff you told me the other time.'' he said. I looked at him, completely blank as my mind went back to our earlier discussion. I could come up with nothing at all. Everything was a blur to me and he was the only person who could actually tell me what he was thinking of.

Everything was happening so fast that I did not know what to do. Right there, I felt my legs suddenly give way, gluing themselves to the ground as the vehicle sped towards me. That was foolish of me, I must admit, but at that moment, my mind had gone blank. A sudden wave of fatigue rushed inside of me, bathing in my veins, shamelessly urging my system to shut down. DEATH!

My heart pounded like I’d just run ten miles uphill. My thoughts scattered. My legs moved on their own. “Are you okay sir” “Sir, care for your time alone?” “Congratulations sir” I thought I heard what sounded like worried voices, but I couldn’t pinpoint them. They were like floating scattered information that my brain can't process. “You…” I tried to say to the smiling Nathan, but I couldn't let the words out. My brain became blank. I barely remembered where I was walking, or what to say, but I immediately knew that I had to get out.

"How are you feeling?" I didn't have an answer. The screaming panic and the mental blackout from the library were over, but they had left me hollow. I was a radio stuck between stations—nothing but loud, fuzzy static. I knew people probably thought I was being a stone-cold brat, but I just didn't have the fuel left to care.

I stayed in the quiet room, alone.Crying, trying to push my mind to think of a possible cause for what had just happened. But I could not figure it out. My mind was blank.Tired from thinking. Tired of not getting any answers. No matter how hard I tried to figure out what could have happened, I could not think of anything that would result in something so fatal in just a blur. Everything happened too fast. Way too fast.

I had no idea what to do since no other thoughts came to my mind except how numb my whole body and mind was.
