“Far from where you came from.” The words hit me like a stone. Another world. Another plane. No magic. No father. No home. No way back. My throat tightened. “What realm is this?” I whispered again, because my mind could not accept the truth the first time. Marek swallowed. “Earth. This is Earth.” I stared at him, horrified. “Earth,” I repeated. “What an awful name.”

I glared at her and said, " If you do this, we will really break off our relationship.” I really want to tell Alanna, don't worry about me, just go and accompany her. I closed my eyes and opened them after a few seconds: “When she asked me that day, I just answered her no in anger. Then my roommate in New Zealand suddenly contacted me and told me that someone was there a few days ago. He inquired about me and asked me if I had offended someone. My roommate had many friends. After going around a few times, I found out it was Wallce.” I smiled and said, " Why is this world so small?”

The rich aroma of black coffee tickled my nostril as it scattered all over the kitchen floor. “Did I wake you?” She scratched her neck, shy. “I’m glad you did. I missed my alarm,” I reasoned. “By the way, I’m your roommate. We also met last week.” She squatted on the floor to pick up the broken cup. Now I know why my room is extravagant. The governor’s daughter is my roommate! “Let me,” I interfered. “You might hurt yourself,” I added.

I covered my mouth while giggling. I had to think about this. It was a great offer but I liked being roommates with Saiora and Rachel. This would separate me even more from them and being a part of Yumena's home life on top of seeing her in class seemed like a lot to deal with. My smile slowly subsidized. "I'm sorry Aunt Celeste. I don't think I can accept. I've just been experiencing so many changes and I've just gotten used to my dorm room." She was visibly disappointed but still put up a bitter-sweet smile. "I can't lie and say I'm not a little bit disappointed but I understand where you're coming from. You're always welcome you know?" I nodded vigorously.

I asked, suddenly interested in the topic. "She isn't from Earth. She's more like from another planet and she told me a lot of things I found unbelievable. My head seemed messed up and I told her to leave my room - and that was about an hour ago. She left and I haven't heard from her or any sound at all. Maybe she's asleep." He sighed despondently and placed his back on the wall.

Wait, why did I think that…I hate the dark. "Yep, the supernatural world is not so different from the human world," he said in a matter of fact tone, placing his hands on his waist as he glanced around. "You know I never realised but this room is big enough to hold two beds," he said, massaging his chin. "Not this semester though," I perked up to his shoulder to whisper in his ear as the little angel dressed in white with a pointy tail. Silas chuckled at my comment. "Don't worry, you are currently our only new housemate."

“And I would escape.” “Let’s go somewhere quieter,” he says, putting his hand out. I follow him to a different section of the bar, walking past Arielle, who winks at me when I do. “I didn't know you came to the Siren.” “I don't, but my roommate does. So I guess I do now.” Michael nods, his lips twitching with a smile. “And where is this roommate? I must thank her. You've been hard to see lately.” Hard?

“Look around. My room is different from every dorm room here and that is because this is literally my room back home.” I frowned. “Your room back home.” “Yes.” “In this academy.” “Yes.” “That is impossible.” She shrugged. “Fairy Magic.” I turned slowly, actually taking in the space for the first time since crashing onto the floor like a defeated sack of trauma. And… yeah. She was right. This was not a dorm room.

“She’s probably tearing her hair out looking for me right now.” Rowan’s frown deepened. “You’ve never mentioned her.” “Because no one here would get it. Would you honestly believe there’s a here and a there? No you wouldn't. I bet you still don't, but that doesn't mean there aren't two different places and two different worlds.
