~ ~ Continuing in Author's POV Awhile back, Skylar had found out that her mother and father were still alive. She also found out that her brothers and sisters were too, but were gone and with now completely different identities since her parents had sold them to various mobs in order to survive. Skylar's mother, Sasha, was against this, but she had no say. Once her father, Gabriel, had gambled and drank all the money the had left away, Sasha was forced into prostitution so he could drink and feed his addictions.

Azrael Ryker stirred again, his excitement rising the moment she stepped in. He was drawn to her presence, almost impatient, as if waiting for her to lift her head and look at us again. “Just moments ago, you were complaining about not marking our mate,” I said to him internally. “Now you are restless over someone who isn’t even ours.” He didn’t respond, his focus was completely on her. “As you can see, we are in the middle of something,” Gabriel said, his voice slightly sharp. “You can come back later.”

I told him. “You know what? I think I’m calling Terzo.” “Who’s Terzo?” she asked. “You don’t wanna know, love.” Linden and I shared a look before I averted my gaze and hid my smile. “You’re not calling anyone.” Kye glared at him. “Oh, I will. Terzo is good at skinning— ” “Gabriel?” I called my husband when he hadn’t said a word. “You’re blaming yourself,” Skyla looked at him.

Sky saw the look on Gabs’ face and said by way of explanation, “I have been trying to keep myself from being too anxious, so I’m leaving the work to them for now.” “Understandable,” Gabs replied, and they moved to sit on the sofas in the living room. A small moment of silence filled the air for a while until the maid returned with drinks, which Gabs picked up and began to sip slowly. After she had wet her throat a bit, Gabrielle then aimed a glance a Skyler, who seemed deep in thought and far away from there. “So,” Gabs began to speak, and Sky jolted, her eyes turning to her. “What’s this about Scarlett?”

~ Gabriel’s POV ~ “Tanner, where’s Harper!” I asked through our mind link. “Uh… I don’t see her Gabe. I’ll try to find her.” “AHHH!” Where is she? A sickening grin crossed Thane’s disgusting face. “What is it, Gabriel? Can’t find my mate?” He asks with a menacing tone that pisses me off even more. “WHERE IS SHE, YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!” He began laughing. He raised his hand toward the sky and a blood red light shot from the ground, up.

Gabriel's eyes flicked toward and he gave me a faint, comforting smile. After a few seconds, the light moved. The glowing strand that had been drifting between Ethan and Gabriel began to waver and then it shifted completely toward Gabriel while glowing brighter than before. Everyone in front of me gasp. "Oh my goddess," Lily whispered while covering her mouth. "It's Gabriel. The detector's choosing Gabriel!" Jason blinked several times. "Wait, so that means..." Tyler grinned faintly. "Gabriel is Sarah's mate." I bit my lips out of feeling everything all at once. Gabriel… my mate?

My heart tightened in pain. "I don't believe you. You're really familiar, right, Meredith?" Tyra insisted. I only shrugged my shoulders. "Are you sure, Meredith? He had a lot of similarities with Hezekiah. " she insisted, "You and his husband, are much alike!" Tyra excalimed, turning to Gabriel. na kay Gabriel naman humarap. My blood boiled in my veins. I opened the door to the dressing room forcefully. Tears were streaming down my face as I looked at him. “Filthy? Slave? That’s what you really think of me!?” “Isn’t that what you are?” His reply was so cold it stunned me. “You were a fool to think that I would ever mate with you, even if the Moon Goddess fated it.” I blinked. What? “I reject you, Skye. I, Alex Wilder, reject you as my mate.”

I said, spat on her face and pushed her to the ground. “I, TristanCeleste of Celeste Moon Pack reject you this day!” I spoke at the top of my voice. I can see the look on Lyra’s face as she walked by. She stood beside me and placed her hands around. That was exactly what I needed. “Lyra remains my one and only chosen mate,” I repeated. That was intentional. I noticed Lyra wasn’t much comfortable ever since Athena came into the scene. She was indeed a beauty to behold. I dare not lie.

The tray dropped from her hand making a loud noise in the room. Damon in all his glory had no expression on his face. He glared down at Stephanie who was also doing the same. She was lost in the drama. Why would Damon allow a mere waiter to interrupt them? Without a second thought, he pulled her ass up and proceed to thrust in her as she continued with the wired noise Skylar couldn't stand this disgusting side of life and, he was hurting her on purpose. She didn't understand her feelings anymore. She smashed the door closed.
