Indeed five spinning rings encircle the keyhole, each engraved with a different symbol. I squint, struggling to make out the symbols in the gloom, "So according to the riddle, the lock has five rotating rings with strange symbols etched on the metal surfaces," I say, "...And each ring must be aligned with the correct symbol to unlock the door..." My companion nods grimly, eyes fixed on the foreboding lock.
