But with better tea.” I blinked at her. “Is this a real place or a theatrical fever dream?” Merlin leaned in and whispered. “Mystique Gore is the kind of town that keeps its secrets wrapped in fresh linen and smiles. You’ll see!” She winked again and skipped down the hall. Okay. Officially unhinged. I chalked her up as “possibly delusional,” but somehow I didn’t toss the cookie. Later, in my room, I opened my encrypted phone and logged the day.

It's been a week since my little brother and I have moved too the new town - Mysticwoods. The town is small, but has a lot of character. The only problem is, we don't really fit in here. I think it's, because we are human and the rest of the town- not so much.

She soliloquised and walked out of her office, straight to her Detective squad, called *Team Alpha* "Gather round y'all" she commanded as they did. She brought out a map of Mystic Hollow and asked Kate to pass her a marker. "The first death in Mystic Hollow was on the 9th of July, 2023, at some teenagers' camp fire party" she said and circled the spot red. "The other was on the 11th of July, at the woods, in a treehouse. Another teenager, aged 17" Detective Kate said as Ruth circled that spot.

He raised his hand and the weapon flew back into his grasp and he ran after them. Not having any other choice, the kids got in the stranger's car and he drove away fast enough to avoid being caught by the assassin. "Are you guys okay?" The stranger asked. "Yeah, thanks for helping us," Joe said, out of breath. "Who are you and who was that person that was chasing us?" Lydia asked from behind. "My name's Micah Jameson and that person that was chasing you was a Ginx," Michael said. "A what?" Kurt asked. "A Ginx. A magical warrior from Troleyadia, sent here to find the twin seeds of Eyah and by the looks of it, kill them," Micah said.

Ashley gasped and wondered who would come visit her in the middle of the night. . At the same time, far away from Averna, a red-haired woman with grey eyes was seen walking across the streets of Mystic Town. A place she had not been for many years after the dispute she had with the longest living Witch in the Town. Wearing a red hooded robe that had also covered her head, she was whispering a spell to not being recognized by the passersby that saw her presence in the town. She came alone as the matter that was to discuss was of a personal matter.

I heard that most rogue attacks happened there, so I expected little from our duty there. "I'm gonna miss my dog," someone behind me whispered. Most were grumbling about the things they'd miss once we were assigned to the homestead. I could relate somehow. Once I got there, it would be even farther from our house and my mother. "Is everyone here?" Zayn asked after he entered the community bus. He looked around and then caught my eye. "Coraline, come sit beside me," he said, patting the seat next to him. I shook my head. Seeing my reluctance, he sighed and moved to sit beside me instead.

“Is he a troll? Hideous? Disfigured?” The man smiled. “I’m afraid you’ll have to see for yourself.” By midnight, Aria sat alone in the back of the limousine, Archibald the wedding puppy snoozing beside her, paw on her silk lap. She stared out the window as the city melted into dark woods and winding roads, leading them to the estate she’d been told was now “home.” It was massive. Ancient stone. Ivy. Balconies with wrought-iron railings. The kind of mansion people died in during horror films. She stepped out into the moonlight with her arms crossed.

She ignored me and I shrugged anyway, finding my way out of the restaurant, headed towards Mason Creek on my bicycle. Midnight Bay was the perfect place. A small town with so unfolded folklore, mystical beasts and whatnot. Although i never believed such fallacies, it was still nice for my hometown to be known for something. The recent buzz was of werewolves, Mrs Ackerman swore she saw a man turn into a wolf at her backyard one time—she was also known to be diagnosed with the acute case of schizophrenia Werewolves. Pfttt.
