I try to leave the forest one more time, and this time I am pulled back by two tree branches, to the same tree. I get angry and scream asking who is doing this to me. As I get up, a weird-looking creature appears in front of me. It seems it is made of wood, his arms look like tree branches, like all of his body. I ask him who he is and why he keeps pulling me back. "You do not belong here! This is my domain and no one who enters it will ever exit it!". The weird creature says to me. I present myself as the queen of the minotaurs and inform him what I am trying to do.

Tiernan nodded his head toward the shadows of the forest, and I caught sight of a giant, tear-shaped plant with fronds curling up into the tree branches above.

When she and Uncle Hector were strolling in the deep snow three years ago, she happened upon an old woman preparing a cake. The scent drew a youngster like her at the time, so Ancanta immediately hurried to the old woman who was preparing bread and was told the story of the elves, the species known as servants of the gods.
