The kind only a true Queen of the Gods could wield. My heart kicked erratically against my ribs. Fear crawled up my spine. “I… see,” I managed. “But how can I beat her now that I’m dead?” The wind halted all at once, and peace settled around us again as Hera relaxed. “You’re not dead just yet,” she said. “You are in what mortals call a coma. And I have a certain god, one who’s been secretly rooting for you, who wants to help bring you back.”

HERA I stared at Lord Timothee in disbelief, my mind racing to comprehend the depth of his devious plan. The intensity of his gaze held a glimmer of mischief, and it sent shivers down my spine.
