I asked curiously, watching while he scanned the pages. Jason let out a snort before tossing the book carelessly on the table. "It's just nonsense, not to be taken seriously," he scoffed. "That's why they're called legends." "Oh, I see..." I murmured, feeling a bit foolish for having been so engrossed. Maybe I was the one being silly for finding it interesting.

It was a golden yellow book that people believed was written by the goddess herself. I’d heard about the existence of the holy book of lycanthropes from one of the stories Madam Cora told us as kids but many believed it didn’t really exist. The holy book was sacred and was not to be toiled with. I stared in awe, my fingers itched to touch it but, out of nowhere, my head started to ache. So I became interested in the book so I brought it and looked for Yuwe and saw that he was already sitting in the empty seat so I approached him and sat down. He looked at me and smiled. "What book did you take?" Yuwe asked me more. I lifted the book before placing it on the table and sitting next to it. "Mythology," I answer here.

The mythology section occupied the library's third floor, accessible only by a narrow staircase that creaked with every single step. Most students avoid it, claiming it gave them the creeps. Tonight, I understood what they meant. My footsteps echoed too loudly in the silent library. I found the book I needed tucked between dusty volumes on medieval superstitions.
