Mythomania Book Novels & Stories

“Everything was fine until you showed up! Even in my mahjong last night, by just mentioning your name, I lost! It was because you brought a curse! Your presence is a curse! ” Sherly only stared at the woman in front of her. She was still unrattled. She had heard a lot more curses than Lilia cursed out. Thus, it has no effect on her. With Lilia’s accusations, Sherly smirked. "Oh, are you blaming me for your mahjong losses now? Just because of my aura? What does it have to do with me? You lost at Mahjong, and you blame me. What if you lose at the casino and you still blame me? Your misfortune is yours; don’t blame it on others.”

Everything felt too real to be a dream, so I didn’t count it as one, but I just wished everything could go back in time to when the De Luca Mafia family had no business with my papa. “If it were that easy to give into unconsciousness, I would be long dead.” After his reply, I clamped my mouth shut and watched silently, trying so fucking hard not to look at the dead body moving slightly towards my legs. Oh my God! I thought I was seeing things at first, until the fingers of one of the Italian mobs reached out to grab my leg. “Get off me!” I screamed, my voice strained as he dragged me to the ground by the ball gown.

Didn't it suggest that no one had been in here since I left? That was the best possible explanation I could come up with. Regardless I picked up an old book, flipping through its pages, I ended up on a page it was titled: The Moon Goddess. It was probably a myth about the sun and the moon goddess, just a bunch of stories told to young werewolves, sometimes it was meant to scare them, other times to educate. I slammed the book close, I wasn't here for fairy tales and myths. I was here for legends, actually stories that had something to do with me.

A good place to read and study. After placing my things on the seat, I make my way straight to the mythology section of the library. In this part of the place, you could see different kinds of myths; Greek, Norse, Asian and more. Upon scanning the title of the displayed books, my eyes were caught by a familiar author, Priam. I hurriedly extend my hand to reach for the book, but another hand grab onto it first. I turned my head to the direction of the owner of that hand, it was a man just a little bit inches taller than me.

Something—anything—that would drown out the him of my beast. My eyes landed on a thick volume about ancient Lycan myths. It had always been a favorite of mine, and it usually worked to quiet the noise in my head. Maybe it could help now. I grabbed the book and dropped into the nearest chair, flipping through the pages. My hands trembled slightly as I turned each page, even as the words blurred together in front of me. I forced myself to focus on the text, reading about the great wars between packs and the legends of the First Alphas.

While Yara was the Angelic Belluci, whom people saw as the pure, cute, innocent and handworking billionaire Belluci that had a successful brand, I was the Lilith Belluci, the ruthless, always on edge woman who needed to get laid, had the most sour expression, heartless and who had taken over half of her father’s Mafia business, because of reasons best known to her father. We were like the two fishes in the yin and yang. Or at least that’s what I thought they whispered behind me. Plus Nicola had said the same thing on a few occasions...one occasion rather. It sure made me mad as hell anytime I heard that considering how much I disliked her and couldn’t stand her. And I couldn’t even remember

Sarah gave birth to two children: Dante and Evelyn Vanslord. Jo nearly dropped the book. "So that arrogant prick," she muttered aloud, "is the Moon Goddess's direct descendant." She shook her head, dazed. "What awful luck to end up mated to me." But just as she turned the next page... It was missing. A ripped seam, an ugly tear right through the story. The next surviving words chilled her: "Doomsday. Deaths of thousands. Never meant to be." Before she could make sense of it... "You know that’s a forbidden book," came a voice from behind her.

The future isn’t set in stone; I remind myself, as I gently close the book, the sound of the pages rustling filling the quiet room. Carefully, I place it back on the shelf, its worn spine aligning with the others. My eyes wander to the collection of books before me, their aged covers displaying faded depictions of ancient myths and legends. I can almost smell the musty scent of ancient knowledge emanating from their pages. Doubt had initially clouded my mind, but as I delved deeper, I discovered fragments of truth, hidden amidst the tales of gods and goddesses.

I heard dad's voice, and he came into my view through the darkness. "I thought you were a ghost." I joked. "I was going through some old books. Found the exact one I was looking for," he said, handing me over a thick book that looked around a hundred years old. "What is this?" I asked. "It's a legendary, secret book about alphas who didn't approve of Moon Goddess's selection of mates and who fell in love with another," he spoke. My eyes shifted to his, and he quickly looked aside. Then he started adding more facts as he paced around; "Moon Goddess is the goddess we believe in. Humans might not even know her, but she's our goddess. She knows the best for us, and I don't think it's a good idea
