Kyle Black. He's your average, good-looking, football playing, jerk. And the big reason why my life at school is hell. Sure, somedays I just wish I could wipe that smug smirk off of his face, but then I remember that he's the future Alpha. Can't mess with them. People seem to like calling me 'Nerdy Skylar.' It doesn't even rhyme! Though I just kept reminding myself that this is my last day here for a while, so I'll finally be free of them later today.

I said causing Ajax to cover his mouth to stop himself from laughing, "That, and of course, that sarcasm is smart people's natural defense against the stupids." "Shut up, Nerd, you're going to kill me over here," Ajax said as he tried to not laugh out loud, reminding me that everything is funnier when you're not supposed to laugh. The rest of the class was about the same as all my other classes, though the teacher did ask me to stop making Ajax laugh halfway through. I dropped the occasional sarcastic comment or witty answer throughout the class, waiting for it to end as my social battery was drained and I just wanted to go home at that point. There was only one class left in the day, and I

Jaxon. God, even his name sounded like trouble. The golden boy of campus. Hockey captain. Broad shoulders, sharp jawline, hair that always fell effortlessly into place like some commercial. He was the boy girls whispered about in locker rooms. The boy I never thought would even look at me, not when I was the nerd who hid behind thick lenses and over-washed cardigans. But now, here he was, half-dressed, trousers hanging low on his hips, the room spinning with the sour, heavy scent of alcohol clinging to his breath. His weight hovered over me, warm and too close.

I’ve always known I was possessive. It’s built into my fucking DNA. Back in middle school, our teacher brought an ugly baby toad into the classroom. I was the one who befriended it. I named her Maureen. I took care of her. Then Grey Bruce–one of those overpampered rich kids–decided he wanted her too. It became a petty competition over who Maureen liked more, but the toad always hopped away from Grey and came back to me. I was smug about it.

Or I release Serena and expose you. My phone—Serena’s phone—buzzed on the nightstand. I snatched it up, heart slamming. Unknown number. 'Day one. Fifty days left. Start with the offshore account marked NEREID.' I froze, my thumb hovering over the screen. NEREID. There it was—the name. The specific account she wanted drained. My stomach twisted so hard I thought I’d puke.

She murmured in my ear, without my being able to stop her touch. She sprinkled the contents of a vial on me, a blue and orange powder, which seeped into my nostrils and made me itch. My eyes were watery, the substance irritated me and was making me teary. Slowly, my body was going numb and my mind was shutting down.

After we finish eating the air stewardess Natalie comes over to me and smiles "Hey Ocean, have a nice holiday?" I can feel Desert tense up beside me and when I look at her I smile as I see her eyes flicker between their gorgeous brown and mesmerising gold, I can see her wolf is on the surface and is seriously pissed off, I take her hand to reassure her before adding to Natalie "Yeah it was good, so how's your MATE Mac?" I ask putting emphasis on the word mate to calm my beautiful mate down,

Wake Up Alone by The Chainsmokers Autumn POV All eyes were staring at me in disbelief, and I couldn’t really blame them. We were talking about Tyler Vincent after all. He was a nerd — a total nobody. It was a wonder someone even remembered him. Jess probably knew him because she was basically a walking F******k but for us, mere mortals, I doubted we would remember him even after graduation.

"Jas-" "Shut up!" He yells back, pushing his silver locks back from his face out of frustration. "First of all, what you just did was completely idiotic and dumb. What if something had happened to you? You have your brain to think, right, Ms. Gracie Nerd Rose? How about you USE it?!"
