“Fair enough. But let me let you in on a secret, no guy wants to be called nice.” “And why is that?” “Haven’t you ever heard the phrase ‘nice guys finish last’? Nice guys never get the girl.” “Yes they do,” I scowl. “Some girls like nice guys.” Theo shakes his head, a mocking smile on his lips. “Nah. At the end of the day, even the nice girls want the bad boy.” I let out an exasperated sigh. Talking to this guy is pointless. Apparently, he takes my silence as an admission. “You do, don’t you?” Theo teases.

This book does not disappoint. It flows amazingly, noting feels rushed or too drawn out. Book one was good, but book 2 is better. I am about to start book 3. I can't wait for the rest of this series either. It's rare to find a series that doesn't stop delivering and this is definitely one of those

Another great book in the 6-pack series! I love Theo & Brooke’s story! Each book is unique but they fit together beautifully!! They have all been so well written, I can’t wait to read the next one yet with each one I’m getting closer to the end and that kills me, I don’t want the series to end!!!!!!

The Taken Of Lena

The Taken Of Lena

She was having way more fun than she thought she would but it was coming to an end very soon. Right? ===== For the last song, Cassie wanted something faster and more club-like. It would help her set the tempo for what she had in mind and was so fast paced, she wouldn't have time to second guess herself. After all, it was important to end on a high note and she knew exactly what that meant, even if Tony was clueless about what was happening next. It took Tony two seconds to figure out what song she chose next. It would have been hard not to since it literally begins with Pitbull introducing himself as "Mr. Worldwide" and bringing in T-Pain.

One last time

Riley said and spread her two hands while posing in style " does this look say 'yes mr Kennedy, i'll marry you and later tonight, i'll fuck your brains out" " Definitly girl! it's giving me both the wife and the hoe vibes" Ana said with a big laugh "i'm happy for you baby girl" Riley put on a big smile and blew kisses to Ana. " Do not go to sleep till i call, okay?'' Riley said "Yes ma'am" Ana responded " have a goodnight girl, bye" The call to Ana almost ruined the night for her, but, she's been expecting this night for too long to let anything anyone says ruin it for her.

Just One Last Dance

Just One Last Dance

The Maybach glided into the dense flow of traffic, gradually carrying Elara’s noisy chatter farther and farther away. It was already early morning after Lysander finished pushing down the trending topics online and deleting those dubious comments. Lysander rubbed his temples and listened to Felix’s report, “The stock price has dropped by three percentage points, which is still controllable. The chairman called you to return to the old residence tomorrow.” Lysander slightly nodded and asked, “Anything else?” “Still… still more?” Felix gleamed with a hint of confusion. After a moment, he hesitated, “Also…Miss Elara has made over ten calls, asking when exactly you’re going to come back.”

He Never Finishes His Sentences, I Finish Him

He Never Finishes His Sentences, I Finish Him

That night, my phone kept buzzing nonstop. I opened the company chat group. The pinned message was last month's performance summary. I glanced over it. My name was dead last, at the very bottom of the rankings. All the project results that should have been credited to me had been reassigned to Theodore. He was now in first place, far ahead of everyone else. The group chat had long since blown up, overflowing with flattery and bootlicking comments. "Mr. Wesley is amazing! No wonder he's the star of our department!"

So, I smiled and said to everyone, "Since this is a guys' gathering, I'll head out so I won't interrupt you. We'll have a gathering next time if there's a chance. I'll make sure to get to know everyone properly then." I said it politely and naturally. Jason did not ask me to stay after hearing what I had to say and simply nodded. Meanwhile, Kat looked at me from the side, something unreadable in her eyes. "Nice bracelet." That was the last thing I said before I left.

THE BILLIONAIRE LAST CHANCE

THE BILLIONAIRE LAST CHANCE

He hadn’t realized how much he needed to hear something like that, how much he needed someone to remind him that he wasn’t completely alone. The night ended with a quiet drive back to Lily’s place. As they pulled up to her building, she turned to him with a smile. **"Thanks for tonight,"** she said. **"It was...nice. We should try it some other time.

THIS WILL BE THE LAST

THIS WILL BE THE LAST

Maddy smiled like a maniac and raised her middle finger back at him. Minutes have passed. Maddy asked Finn about what he talked about with Uncle Sam. Finn said that they just talked about his current state of life now after getting rid of poverty. Uncle Sam even reminded him to take care of Maddy as she's the only girl in our group. Jackie whined. Even though Maddy is a woman, she's strong that even a man would run away once she fires a word. We got farther away as I saw the sign ‘You're now living in Demitri City’, it became clearer to me that I'm getting nearer on seeing the lake and the stern face of grandma Debbie again…

Good day everyone! I just want to say sorry if the chapters' titles are confusing. I edited every chapter and added a few details, but the events are still placed accordingly. It would be fixed once my editor is back from vacation. Thank you for reading, and giving me votes. Really appreciate it!

This will be the last has a gripping intro and every chapter will leave you hanging! This is such a unique thriller because from the very beginning the culprit is already given. I'm tired of guessing, so this one's unique and is really a must read ... i can't wait for many more chapters to come!

Our Last Family Dinner

Our Last Family Dinner

"It's okay. I know you've been good. Even if you keep it, it won't count as breaking the rules." Yet I still shook my head, fingers digging into my palms, not daring to look up. The kinder they acted, the colder I felt inside. They were the ones who sent me to that hell, and now, they were putting on this show of warmth and affection. Dinner was already set out on the table. Dad transferred our holiday money to Talia and me, and the number on the screen made my eyes sting. Mom smiled. "Tommy, we'll take you out after dinner. There's something going on nearby today. It'll be a lot of fun."

Frequently Asked Questions

You know, the 'nice guy finishes last' trope really hits home in music, and there's something beautifully bittersweet about how artists capture that feeling. One track that instantly comes to mind is 'Nice Guy' by Eminem featuring Jessie Reyez—it's raw, frustrated, and almost sarcastic in its delivery. Em's verses twist the idea of being 'too nice' into this cyclical trap where kindness gets exploited, and Jessie's haunting chorus just seals the deal. Then there's 'Mr. Brightside' by The Killers—not explicitly about nice guys, but that agonizing jealousy and unrequited love vibe? Classic.

Another gem is 'She’s Out of My League' by Stephen Speaks, a painfully relatable acoustic ballad about watching someone you adore choose everyone but you. It’s nostalgic in the way it captures teenage heartbreak, but the melody sticks like glue. For a more modern spin, 'Falling' by Trevor Daniel has this moody, atmospheric take on feeling overlooked despite giving your all. And let’s not forget 'Jar of Hearts' by Christina Perri—it’s technically about betrayal, but that line 'you’re gonna catch a cold from the ice inside your soul'? Oof. Feels like a dagger to every overly accommodating heart.
