He tilts his head, “Doesn’t look like nothing from my end.”
I look away, but he steps closer, closing the space. His scent and heat pinning me in place.
“Nico, talk,” he orders softly.
I exhale, because what’s the point in pretending? The words scrape out of me before I can swallow them. “It’s just… you’ve got all these women here who fit your personality. Calm, collected and polished. And then there’s me. We're literal opposites”
For a second, he just watches me. Then his mouth curves. Not into a soft smile, nope, a full smirk.
