As we came into a den, there stood Zade next to Nico at the desk. I looked over at him, but he avoided my gaze. I noticed a few other people in chairs in front of Nico’s desk. The man shoved me towards them and walked back to the door to guard it.
“Hello love, come meet my friends,” Nico insisted, grabbing my hand, pulling me against him, then wrapped his arm around my waist, and I swear I heard Zade growl under his breath. I turned to face him, but he glanced at the floor.
