River trembled, fighting back a scream because she didn't want to wake their hosts up. Lord Draven stood in front of her, the streak of moonlight illuminating his pale skin and his crimson eyes glowing like malevolent embers. The air became cloying as the sweetness of his cologne became overpowered by the musky scent of death that clung to him as usual. It was all a scent that River knew too well. One she dreaded. I quickly eyed the others seeing their unamused expressions matched my own.

He looked up at me and spat out a chunk of the man, and nodded, ready to go. I walked on, opening doors to make sure they were clear as we passed, knowing Xander and Elias probably had Balista cornered in one of them. I kicked in a door to the left, and no one was there. "Clear!" A few wolves ran past, but Seven stayed on my flank. Gunfire, growling, shouts, and screams echoed off the walls in the warehouse as we made our way through. I kicked open a door to the right. Nothing. "Clear!" Then I came to another door across the hallway and heard voices. I kicked it open, and Xander and Elias were standing there nude, having just shifted, and Balista and Sasha were backed against the wall.

He leaned forward, elbows on knees. Something scratched at his heel. He frowned and reached under the cot. There, tucked deep into a crack between floorboards, was a torn piece of parchment, curled at the edges. He pulled it free. The writing was faint, burned on one side. It read: "X. of Nightborn Blood—your claim must never be known. If the Council suspects"— The rest was gone and blackened to ash. Xavier's blood ran cold. "Nightborn...?" He said the name aloud.

The feeling felt so wrong, yet, she wanted it. She muttered some words under her breath, before she stood up, stretching up her hands. She just had to control her self, else, she might find her hands creeping into his throat. ** "NightWalker attacked another one of your were house today." Lucas trailed behind him, reading some tiny black printed words on his tab. Xander dropped the spoon on the plate, his muscles clenching together, he gnashed his teeth together, and focused back on the pork. "Go on." Lynexia returned to her plate and picked at her food. “So, Lynexia, what do you think of your new home?” Xander questioned. “Its nice.” she responded not looking up. “How did you sleep?” Ginger questioned. “Fine, I guess.” the young girl shrugged. “How did you spend your day?” the older woman asked. “I looked around the apartment, took a nap, and read a couple of books.” Lynexia explained. “Oh, what books did you read?” Ginger perked up. “Well, I actually found a set of books that said they were published right here. The author was listed as Selinas Astrea.” Lynexia responded. “A very good writer. They tell great stories that keep the legends of wolves through the generations.” Xander states

Life was tough and will get tougher but she came out strong than ever, and tackled all of the problems bravely. She bounced back to the present and shook her head, knowing what happened was for a good reason and about to close the closet when her eyes landed on the book given by Alaric. She picked it up and put it on the night stand as she decided to start reading it. Not only for informational purposes but there was something running inside her mind. She was still wondering about that when the Nightcrawlers attacked her and Alaric's warning about their resuscitation. After finishing all the chores, Adrianna chose a silent place in the apartment to read the book.
