Epilogue: Now that I have written several of these stories, I find that my old ghosts have started to haunt my dreams yet again. It is amazing that once things are written down, they begin to take on a life of their own. Just remember, if you don’t want things to go bump in the night, don’t tell anyone else about them.

My Nightmare Natty's POV It was morning already and last night was a long night. I never knew he was that insatiable.I lot count as to how many times we did it. Thinking about it, I smiled. I looked over to him and smiled more. He was still sleeping like a baby. I tried standing up but I felt pain in my thighs. I tried again but I just groaned. My groaning woke him up,he was baffled and asked. "Baby are you alright..."he asked in a husky voice.

They shared a warm hug before making their way to the dining area for dinner. Later that night, Kane found himself unable to sleep. Tossing and turning in bed, he was haunted by the image of the girl from his past. Her cries reverberated in his mind, accompanied by the distressing echoes of an unseen child. The experience filled him with a deep sense of horror. Startled from his troubled sleep, he awoke to darkness and let out a sigh before switching on the lights. Sitting at the edge of his bed, Kane reflected on the recurring nightmares that plagued him all too often. They seemed to follow a similar pattern, with subtle variations each time, yet their unsettling nature remained unchanged.

I had been hounded by nightmares, gnarled reflections of everything I feared most and everything that made me insecure. I had tossed and turned, my mind conjuring up dark scenarios where Alpha Blake turned his back on me, leaving me alone to face the unknown threats lurking around us. Shadows danced in my dreams, faces I couldn't quite recognize but felt an unsettling familiarity with. Nora's smirking visage haunted me the most, a constant reminder of the betrayal I felt brewing.

Did you know that I used to get nightmares in which I would hear people screaming? I used to think that it was from a memory of the day mom died, well imprisoned. They went away when I met you, but when I thought you had died they returned again. Now I think they are the screams of people whose families I have hurt. I have done so many horrible and unforgiving things that even thou you have returned, the screams still won’t go away” Badar said as a single tear fell from his eye.

I throw the cover off me in an attempt to cool down and run my fingers through my hair as I try to slowly regulate my heart and breathing. Nightmare. It was just a nightmare. I’ve never had a nightmare in my entire existence, but I had one of my animai killing me, but more unsettling was that in my nightmare I could see. I could see things I shouldn’t even know what they look like. I’ve never seen Osiah, so how did I know what he looked like?

But was he strong enough to dent two motorcycles with only his hands? I felt like this research was starting to drive me crazy. I could hardly wrap my mind around all the stories I’ve been reading. Most of the pictures were similar to one another with the same wounds on their necks and pale white as the clouds. It was like whoever had done this had drained these people of every last drop of blood. Opening a new document, I began writing a new short story. A story about a charming vampire seducing a young girl. In the end, the girl becomes a vampire and began “hunting” in the city with the male protagonist.

Then I went to my room, crawled into bed. And stared at the ceiling. It was so hard to fall asleep even though I was exhausted. My mind wouldn't shut off. Wouldn't stop replaying everything. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw it all again. The gun pointing. The shot firing. Danny falling. The blood pooling. When I finally did fall asleep from pure exhaustion, the nightmares started immediately. In the first one, I was back at that compound. But this time, I didn't throw the knife fast enough.

"I suggest you try meditating before sleeping. It might help you to avoid nightmares if your mind is clear before sleeping." I shot him a grateful smile at the suggestion. "Thank you. I will try that later. I hate nightmares so much." "You're welcome. I understand how awful it is to have frequent nightmares that wake me up in the middle of the night." I felt a pang on my chest at the wistful tone in his voice. I remembered from my previous life, Maximus confided in me about his own nightmares. It was his parents getting murdered by the rogue wolves. He didn't witness it, but from how often he heard it from the other people, his imagination just ran wild about his parents death.
