To taste her lips is all I can think about. I flip the covers off of my well-rested body and get out of bed. Peering outside the window over my bed, I see it's late morning now. You may think that vampires live only during night, but here in Nitraville, it is only ever darkness. Because I am a hybrid, I can sleep whenever I please, but with consequences. If I were to step outside the dome, I could suffer gravely, but not near as bad as my father or brother.

" Fuck. Tonight was supposed to be a joyous night like the previous years. Those bastards must have known that I'd be absent during the Moon Festival, so they took the opportunity to screw things up. I shifted. Felix quickly darted into the North Village. Echoing screams tore through the air; the stench of decay and death was thicker than the wind; and whimpers of despair united from all directions. Felix slammed his feet to the ground and howled in an alpha tone. A sign that he had returned.

They echo throughout the entire planet. There’s a great roaring sound, deep and powerful. It grows with intensity with every passing millisecond. I swear I’m shaking the entire Sector as I grab hold of the Neron. Something snaps. For half a second the world falls silent. And then all the Neron explodes around me, launching into the universe. And I collapse to the ground, even as all those who were frozen around me, rise. I jolt upright in the bed, raising my hands to catch the Neron that is spearing through space. But there isn’t any. The room is dim, hints of the sun only beginning to think about waking.

Xavier: Not when it's 4:00am the morning after my wedding. Sonia: Have a problem with it? The question should be why are you still awake by this time. Xavier: Can't sleep, Sonia. Sonia: I'm sure you'll sort it out. It's Xavier after all. Wanna hang out later? Sonia’s offered confused Xavier. Sonia never offered to hangout. He always initiated it. Like every other day, Sonia brushed past his worries. Sonia sent another text. Sonia: Stop being such a jerk and text me your address.

Wow.” Silence falls between us for a few seconds. I pull the band from my ponytail. “So, when’s a good time to come over? Phil and I both have the night and then tomorrow off.” “Once the sun goes down. Is that too late for Penny?” “Lord no,” she says with a laugh. “That kid hasn’t been sleeping very well lately. It’s a Wonder Week.” “What’s that?” “A growth spurt that messes with her sleep cycle, her happiness, and basically my sanity. She might be up. She might not be.”

I preferred to feel my enemies' blood on my hands, or better yet, on my fangs. I hated the feeling of being cornered, of not having control over every detail. This plan couldn’t fail; there was no room for error. An innocent life was at stake. The life of the son I hadn’t even known existed until now. I rubbed my eyes, trying to shake off the exhaustion. Last night had been awful. Nightmares tormented me, and my control over my transformations was growing weaker. Nick entered the room with a deep sigh. "We have the location where they might be keeping the boy, my Alpha."

My fingers loosened against NightSword and it clattered away from me. Eryndor’s eyes were dilated, his canines dripping saliva as he dove for the sword, picking it up with a feral grin. He raised it above my head as I watched in horror. NO!, NightSword screamed in my head, in protest at being wielded by one not bonded to him. My ears popped and my vision was lost again as a powerful sonic blast emerged from the ancient weapon, a beam of energy spiraling outwards and slamming into Eryndor.

Chapter "Let me sleep with you" Josh said seeing that was the only option he had at the moment. And Evelyn who continued to wriggle, her sexual urge reaching it's peak but at that moment, the ring tone of a phone was heard and Josh going to it's direction saw the caller ID, it was Xander calling. After a few seconds of counting sheep, I fade. into my subconscious, gradually.
