Leila looked at me, her eyes filled with concern. "So, do you have any idea who's attacking the castle?" Sitting on the edge of my seat, I let out a deep breath. "Members of Nightshade." Leila tilted her head to the side. "Nightshade?" "Supernatural Hunters." Leila nodded. "Yes, Lance told me there were here and not to leave the castle." "They're hunting every supernatural creature they can find." I crossed my legs, folding my hands on top of my knees.

she didn't notice the final notification that appeared at the bottom of the screen. A notification the system seemed reluctant to show. [Warning] [Entity Detected Inside Crosswell Estate Basement] [Status: Active] [Status: Awake]

She then began to look for a way to open the skylight. She looked under the bed for a remote that might have dropped, but could not find it. She then searched the dresser, recliner, and closet, but still, nothing was found. She soon began to touch the small buttons on the windowsill. She heard a soft hum and looked around to see what had changed. A beam of light shot from her right and it began to grow. Hae Mina stepped back and watched the walls retract and reveal the night and ocean. She climbed on the sill and used the headboard to rest her back on as she watched the moonbeams dance on the waves.

No Gammas. Nothing moving. The grounds are still. And yet one of the warning lights is blinking. I lean in, narrowing my eyes as I try to pinpoint the movement it’s flagged. Nothing looks off. No shadows. No sound. Just the red flash at the corner of the screen, pulsing steadily like a heartbeat.

… When I regained consciousness, all I could hear was the beeping of equipment in the ward. The sky had turned dark outside. I wanted to take my phone to check the time, so I searched under the pillow and on the bedside table, but I found nothing. Right then, someone pushed the door open. Jason came in, steam and the scent of the shampoo Susan usually used lingering in the air. "Don't move around if you're awake." He walked to the bedside and took a seat. As if he were doing me a favor, he said, "I took your phone. The doctor said you need rest. There's no need to look at those useless messages."
