A Nearsighted Girl’s Journey Through a Horror Game
What used to be solid metal walls had now opened up to reveal three ancient black doors.
Each door had a row of heart-shaped locks, the number varying from one to four.
Mine had four locks.
The student girl, Susie, had one.
The fitness coach, Finn, had two.
I already had a bad feeling about what this meant.
Each door bore the player’s name and their Terror Index.
Mine read: Nina – Terror: 0
The girl’s: Susie – Terror: 99.9
The coach’s: Finn– Terror: 90
They both turned to stare at me, shocked and confused, as if wondering how on earth I had kept my terror level at zero.
