For a moment, she succeeded, but Max moved away from her. He still couldn't believe what he was hearing. The betrayal didn't matter to her; she wanted to get married at all costs. Max approached the bar again and poured himself another glass of whiskey. He needed something to help him process what was happening. Irina came closer and wrapped herself around him from behind, holding on tightly, almost causing him to spill his drink.
