They all stood there hovering, the goblins who were at the front had seen this and stopped, but the ones behind who could not see only carried on walking forwards and this all lead to the wave of goblins to continue to advance. Taking a small deep breath, Noah released his earthen spikes. They all tore across the cave and smashed into the goblins cutting through the first few lines and sending many more flying away. He did not stop there though and quickly conjured up more and more. The spikes constantly screech through the air and tear through the screeching goblins.

He could practically feel the weight of Hannah’s stare as well, her silent challenge lingering in the air between them. You wouldn’t want to disappoint the children, would you? Her gaze seemed to say. Or disappoint me? With an inward groan, Noah reluctantly reached for the nearest puppet—a garish purple dragon with a floppy tail and a lopsided grin. He slipped his hand inside, his fingers finding the holes to bring the puppet to life as he cleared his throat. “Once upon a time,” he began again, deepening his voice into an exaggerated growl as he moved the dragon puppet through the air, “there was a greedy dragon named... Sir... Snorts-a-lot.”

she pleaded. Noah shook his head. "I have to help Mom and Dad!" he said, determinedly. "You stay inside, Mia. I'll be back soon." With that, he left the safety of their home and ran through the woods, searching for his parents. As he ran, he heard the sounds of battle getting louder and louder. He knew he was getting closer. But just as he thought he had found them, he was attacked by a rogue. The rogue was bigger and stronger than Noah, and he found himself struggling to keep up. But he refused to give up, fighting with everything he had.

Grabbing my sunglasses, I burst out of the door and stood on the edge of my small porch, bouncing on my toes as I waited for the truck to come to a halt. "Happy moving day!" Noah's grin was wide as he swung down from the driver's seat. His easy grace and lithe movements always impressed me; he was such a big guy, all solid muscle and incredible strength. He'd told me once that part of his training included ballet and yoga, because the position he played on the football field required agility. I could totally see that.

There have not been much troubles in the pack. Only few random rogues crossing the borders. But that's all it is. Training with Noah has been great. At first he was holding back. But once seeing how good I was, we were both getting on it. I have defeated him quite a lot of time, even after him using wolf strength. We have even used daggers and weapons to trains. At first Noah hesitated but then agreed. I have even fought him off in his wolf form. His wolf was ashy brown. It was so nice.

“Okay. I’ll order what you usually like.” Before he could even place the order, Noah suddenly appeared from his bedroom holding a small dinosaur toy. “Daddy! Mommy!” he shouted happily, running toward us. “Noah wants burgers! And pizza! The cheeese one!” I couldn’t help laughing at his enthusiasm. “Hey, how did you get ready so fast?” I asked, pulling him onto my lap. “Noah’s hungry,” he said innocently, hugging his dinosaur tightly. “The dinosaur is hungry too.”

Hudson appeared, like if he couldn’t see him . I stepped forward slightly to draw the attention back to me. “Mr. Hudson,” I said, keeping my voice steady. “I came to visit a sick friend.” Mr. Hudson’s eyes moved past my shoulder trying to see past me. Trying to get a better look at the hooded figure standing beside the cab. Noah kept his face turned away. Completely still. Not a single movement that would give anything away. Then without a word Noah walked away. Just like that. Quietly and quickly and gone around the corner before anyone could say anything about it.

It pulled over right in front of my motorcycle, its hazard lights blinking. The driver's side door opened. Noah stepped out. He was wearing a clean grey hoodie and dark jeans, his messy brown hair looking perfectly styled even though it was early. He looked at my bike, then looked at me, a small smile touching his lips. "Hey," Noah said, walking over. "You look like you're having a rough morning." "Hey," I replied, sighing heavily. "My bike died." "Did it break down?" he asked, leaning over to glance at the engine. "Or is it something else?"

His legs, arms, and spine elongated, his bones audibly twisting and breaking to accommodate his new enlarged canine frame. Before I could witness the rest of Andrew’s transformation, Noah grabbed me and threw me inside the house, as far from the action as possible. As I recovered from the tumble, Noah shifted into his own brown wolf form, breaking the doorframe with his new shape.

Chaos erupted as they began fighting each other away from the now open gate. Noah strolled happily out of the gate a huge smile on his face. When he was out of sight, he broke into a run and kept heading towards the direction where he could hear the sound of a car. He had no idea how long he had run or where he was running to but when he had finally slowed down was when he had seen a phone booth. The street looked deserted and he shuddered as he hurried to the phone booth inserting his coin and dialing the number.
