None of it helped.

There are over a thousand books written about werewolves lore and none is written about fire wolves except these two and it was very hard finding them.” he frowned at her. “I’m sorry then for making fun of them and disregarding your effort.”

Curious, I pick up the top one, and instantly feel my eyes begin to water. "The Comprehensive Guide to Werewolf History," I read aloud, my voice barely above a whisper. I flip through the others: "Global Pack Atlas: Locations and Territories," "Lycanthrope Biology: An In-Depth Study," "The Social Structures of Werewolf Packs," "Lunar Cycles and Their Effects on Werewolf Physiology," there are many others in the stack.

Disappointment flashes on her face and she says to go right in. I move my way through the library and check as many ancient werewolf books as possible but there's nothing about natural born golden eyed werewolves or any tribe that seemed to have any. I try the computer and go online, I do research but a bunch of stories and shitty "facts" about werewolves appear all over. I scoff at how stupid all the articles are, these people don't know shit about werewolves. Sighing, I slump back in the chair. This is pointless, I can't find anything here.

The shelves stretched to the ceiling, filled with books that looked like they hadn’t been touched in years. I walked slowly between the rows, running my fingers along the shelves until I found the section on werewolf history. I grabbed a few thick books that looked promising and carried them to a quiet corner table near the window. The light was soft there, golden and peaceful. I let out a breath and opened the first book, skimming through chapters on bloodlines, first shifts, pack traditions… stuff I probably should have known already. I’d only read a few pages when someone pulled out the chair across from me.
