Retribution
She was studying, calculating, not dazzled like a child in a toy shop.
Finally, her hands closed around two long, needle-like blades. Thin, deadly, sharp edges gleaming under the sunlight. She lifted them with care, twirling them once in her hands before locking them at her sides.
A grin tugged at my mouth. “The Harbingers of Death. You know your weapons well.”
Her chin tilted up, defiant.
“Clever choice,” I continued, circling her slowly. “They’re not brute weapons. They demand precision, patience, agility. You win with those, and you may keep them.”
