Second Chance Mate
Jake said as I stared at him through the cloud of smoke that had formed before my face.
I puffed out more whiffs from my cigarette and relaxed back on my chair, "Come on, Jake, take a seat." I said and when he had settled down and I didn't hear the shuffling of his feet anymore, I asked, "So, have you figured out how she escaped?"
He sighed, "It's very tricky and very clever-"
"Stop complimenting her and get to the fucking point." I snapped impatiently.
He cleared his throat nervously, "Of course. She got out through the bus that takes the dead prisoners out every morning."
