Novel Flight Novels & Stories

About how, despite everything that’s happened, I deserve to have this—to pursue something that’s mine, that’s not tied to the pack or the battles we’ve fought. After weeks of preparation, of gathering documents and putting in applications, I got in. I’m going to learn how to fly. The thought sends a thrill through me. Flying has always been my escape, the thing that made me feel free, like I could leave everything behind and just soar. And now, standing here, I realize this is the first step toward something new. A new chapter, a new dream. I take a deep breath and step inside, my future waiting just beyond the doors.

I don't know how I will get to the stairs, I just have to follow my instincts. I closed the cabin door slowly and moved forward tiptoeing trying to find the stairs. The elevator's light is on, I can see through the crack from the elevator door, and thank God the stairs are beside the elevator. I dashed to the elevator like a prisoner getting his freedom. In my haste to get to the stairs, I bumped into something, and it made a loud sound fallen on the ground.

Nicole’s knees were still trembling even though thirty minutes had already passed since they landed. She couldn’t believe that her boss hadn’t even bothered to brief her that he was a pilot before taking her on this flight. Because of that, instead of enjoying her first time riding a helicopter, she had spent the entire trip filled with anxiety. She felt like a helpless child watching her boss casually maneuver the aircraft, pressing buttons and flicking switches as if he were simply playing with a remote-controlled toy plane.

When her boss had said they'd be flying out to Las Vegas, Elena had not assumed they'd be taking a luxurious private jet. In retrospect, she probably should've figured that first class would be a downgrade from the Ferraro's obviously expensive and decadent lifestyle. But for someone who hadn't ever flown before, Elena knew she'd never be able to board a plane again. The jet seats were practically made of clouds. The provided snacks had more options than her local grocery store. And the entire flight was so smooth and painless, Elena was surprised they had even traveled halfway across the country.

In turn, Nadia was fascinated by Vipin's palpable eagerness to learn and his tenacity in mastering the art of flight. They delved into shared stories of their most unforgettable flights, recounting the exhilarating highs and the daunting challenges they had collectively overcome. With each anecdote, they relived the sheer, unadulterated joy that enveloped them as they soared through the sky, a feeling only fellow pilots could truly understand.

He was still completely devoid of motion. Jessi’s phone beeped, and she checked it. “Uh, okay guys, sorry I can’t stay for this, whatever it is, but I’ve got to go to the airport.” Rico shook his head slowly. “Tell him to double-check his booking. The airport’s closed to public flights this week, Jessi” he said drily. “I know, he came in his private jet,” she replied, chuckling. Sofia gasped. “Private jet?”

"You didn't give me many details before." He swallowed some of his wine then sat back in his chair. As she listened to him describe the three-plane flying service Nate had bought with just one pilot besides himself, she could hear the excitement in his voice. The moment Zack arrived, Nate handed him a big book with all the maps and previous flight plans, told him to study it, then stuck him in a plane and said, "Go." There was no missing the energy that crackled from him as he talked about what he did. And as she listened, she was more convinced than ever she'd done the right thing. "I'd have to say, there's scarcely a place in Alaska I haven't flown," he told her. "But that's not what I-"

He buckled her in with practiced ease, his touch lingering for a fleeting moment that sent a shiver down her spine. Sliding into the pilot's seat, Randall expertly donned a headset. The whir of the engine filled the air, growing louder as the blades began to spin. Allysa gripped the armrests, a surge of adrenaline coursing through her veins. As he strapped himself in, a mischievous glint flickered in his eyes. "Let’s get married." Allysa's heart hammered against her ribs, a delicious mix of excitement and apprehension swirling within her. This impulsive flight, the luxurious detour – it was all so unlike anything she'd ever experienced.

As the plane hit a pocket of turbulence, the floor swayed beneath them, throwing them together with a force that felt like destiny. The sex on the flight was different from the frantic getaway in the SUV. It was slow, agonizingly deep, and fueled by the terrifying realization that they were flying into the mouth of the lion. Roman worshipped her with a desperation that bordered on pain, his mouth mapping every inch of her as the stars streaked past the porthole. In the thin air of the upper atmosphere, every gasp felt louder, every touch more electric. They weren't just husband and wife; they were two souls fusing together before the coming storm.

Ivana cocked her head to the side. "Remember I promised to fess up everything, I think it's time, Ivana, I know it's hard to believe what I'm going to say but please be patient, I'll explain everything to you. The truth is this world is the world I created, in short, we're inside my novel," She confessed. A burst of laughter tore the silence in the room, "Nice one," Ivana laughed out aloud. "I know it's hard to believe but it's true," Arielle let out a nervous laugh.
