Novel Flight Novels & Stories

Najmah snapped her book shut then fastened her seat belt, staring out of the window. She had a phobia for flights, so she spent the whole flight duration reading one of the many books she had brought together with her; "Lie to me, Dan by Longrin Wetten″ which happened to be one of her favorites.

Scarlet flew through the morning sky, wiping her tears, still shaken from the incident under the bridge, and trying to understand all that was happening to her. She was flying. She could hardly believe it. She did not know how, but wings had sprouted, and she had just taken off, lifted into the air as if it were the most natural thing in the world. She couldn’t understand why the light was hurting her eyes, why her skin was starting to itch beneath the sun. Luckily, it had become a cloudy day, and she had some relief; yet still, she did not feel like herself.

“You nervous?” I look at him, wanting clarification as to why he was asking me this question. “For flying?” He nods, “A little.” But I feel a lot better and more grounded since he has flown beside me since my kidnapping. I just hate the fact that I used to love flying. There's something about being up in the air that makes you feel free, but since my kidnapping, I have been petrified of crowded spaces, and that includes being on a plane. He squeezes my hand, giving me the comfort I crave. “We’ve got this.” I smile, he's right, we do have this as long as we are together, there is no stopping us. That may sound cheesy, but hey, I like reading romance novels on my travels.

Before walking through, I took one last look at him. “Have a safe flight.” Standing outside the crowd, George wept silently. This time, I didn’t stop for him. As the plane took off, the cityscape outside the window shrank into the distance. I switched my phone into airplane mode. One second before the screen went dark, a text message from George slipped through. “I’m sorry, Millie.” I didn’t respond to his text. The clouds unfolded outside the window. The sunlight poured into the cabin. It was perfectly bright.

In less than half the time Zen would have walked to the kitchen, Yelena appeared. “Let’s go!” she grinned. “The ingredients arrived two hours ago. Bolt and I rushed to reserve them for you. Did you make new progress with the game?” Nodding, Zen shared with her how Sasha found her first secret side quest in the game. At the same time, he expressed his concerns about the new bloodline abilities that most of them were having difficulty getting accustomed to. “Flying is not a natural instinct for humans,” Yelena acknowledged. “However, aerodynamic is similar to swimming. You don’t fight air, you flow with it.”

[Erin] My face pressed up against the window and was peering out at the clouds below us as we soared directly above them while I sat my ass on one of the most luxurious planes I have ever been on. I've only flown twice in a private jet, and honestly, I couldn't put any comparison aside from the fact that it screams money. Well, just like what Nikolai the last time I traveled, but the interior is a bit different. Could this plane crash along with my heavy heart?

He had to know where I had gone. A week later, he found the answer through a friend who worked ground crew at the airline. "Brandon, I got it. She took flight HU7281 last Wednesday. She flew to Dalco." Brandon's hand shook as he held the phone. "Thank you," he said. He immediately booked a ticket on the earliest flight to Dalco. He folded the "List of What I Owe" and placed it into his coat pocket. He also brought that thick flight logbook and a brand-new First Officer observation-seat pass.

The Daily Confession The flight home from Geneva was a study in conditional intimacy. They occupied the same first-class cabin, but the physical closeness was a stark contrast to the emotional scaffolding still required. They held hands briefly during takeoff, a gesture of shared humanity, not romantic passion. It was a silent acknowledgment that their safety net was now woven from shared vulnerability.

Even though the flight was not going to be long, this was going to feel like the longest flight of my life. When my body vibrated, my eyes opened, waking up from my slumber. I blinked and looked outside; the plane was running along the tarmac. I yawned and looked to my right. Nina was reading a book with her ears covered with her pink noise canceling headset. I looked to where Paul was sitting and saw his hands holding his tablet. I sighed and relaxed on the seat, waiting for the plane to stop.

Rowan (continued) This was the worst flight ever. Not that I didn’t have a great flight crew but I had a damn horny woman trying to convince me to fuck her because as she said it, ‘the marriage doesn’t count above ten thousand feet.’ So, I ended up slipping a relaxing pill in her drink so she slept the entire flight. She eagerly took the pill thinking it was ecstasy. NO, just a pill to help with flight anxiety.
