Blood Bound

Blood Bound

It was only when I noticed that my surroundings were darker I snapped back to reality and looked around. Oh… I looked at the dark forest and realized I was at the part where there were many natural trees. “Wow,” I whispered. These trees look so much better than the other ones. Is it because they had a natural growth? They’re thicker and feel more alive. I turned my head and my gaze fell upon the most majestic tree out of all. An oak tree. It was the thickest and biggest one of all the trees in the forest and its branches were spreading horizontally. It looked really cool and out of place. It made me wonder something.

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

He draped it over his shoulder. Kade always did things with purpose, so it was nice just to meander, no destination or agenda in mind, talking to Eliza as they wallowed in the lazy afternoon. It pleased him Skylar hadn’t cultivated the stereotypical suburban lawn, but allowed the landscape remain natural. Rugged. A backdrop of long, gold and brown grasses, stubby groundcover the color of cinnamon, sagebrush, and the occasional yellow daisy popped up, all blended seamlessly past the barbed wire fence and across the pasture. An oak tree with gnarled branches grew in the middle of the backyard. Usually only scrub oak survived and they never reached that size. He stopped under the canopy of shad

As I look at my year in review, this author and book collection has been monumental in reigniting my hunger for reading. I can't track most of the books from this app easily for my year end count but in my heart this book means the most. I wish I could buy a printed version of each of these. .........

Love this well written book! Thoughts & emotions are conveyed beautifully! The author makes you feel like you know the characters intimately w/o being excessive or mundane. Hot & steamy w/o crude vulgarity! I wish we could give gems at the end of chapter but that’s the app, not the author’s fault.

Blood Moon Twin Lovers

Blood Moon Twin Lovers

Their sprawling branches danced gracefully to the tunes of the nocturnal breeze, casting playful, shifting shadows on the ground below, creating a mesmerizing dance of light and darkness. Within the heart of this verdant sanctuary, Silas had pinpointed a location revered by his kind and known intimately only to a handful of werewolves: a serene clearing, protected and encircled by venerable oak trees. These mighty oaks, having braved countless storms and witnessed numerous cycles of life and death, bore the marks of time on their gnarled barks. If one paid close attention, it felt as if these trees whispered sagas of bygone eras, their hushed voices carrying tales of valor, love, and betraya

Pregnant For The Cursed Alpha

Pregnant For The Cursed Alpha

Birds chirped melodiously, their songs harmonizing with the rustling leaves and the distant howls of the pack. We ventured deeper into the heart of the pack lands, where the ancient oak tree stood tall and majestic. Its branches reached toward the sky, casting a protective shadow over the surrounding area. The ground beneath it now teemed with life, lush green grass and delicate ferns adorning the soil. "This is where it all began," Lady Loretta said softly, her voice filled with reverence. "The oak tree, the source of our pack's prosperity, and the testament to your power, Royal."

Enslaved Princess of the Lycan King

Enslaved Princess of the Lycan King

There weren't much oak trees in the forest and finding where they were gathered was not going to be a gigantuan task. I continued to wander through the forest, my heart heavy with anxiousness and fear, hopeful that no one was following me. And then not too long after, hope flickered within me as I spotted the gathering of oaks trees. In the distance, I glimpsed the majestic oaks. Their branches reached heavenward. Anticipation surged through me. Closer I came, a smile upon my lips. And then, I was face to face with a familiar figure backing me. Prince Arie stood amidst the trees. Recognition sparked, and I gasped.

The Magical World of Maddie

The Magical World of Maddie

Everyone from the coven tuned in to nature and then they were naturally attracted to the energy of a tree. Maddie was immediately drawn to an ancient oak tree, which towered high above everything. The leaves were the greenest of them all. While some trees lost all their leaveshad , that one didn't. He stood there proud and tough. It reflected it’s strength. During the last rays of the sun, the meditation began. Maddie hugged the tree, at least she made the move, because the tree itself was three meters in diameter. She spread her arms and snuggled up against the forest giant. Tuning in to the energy of the tree was easy for her.

Property of the Alpha Prince

Property of the Alpha Prince

Some of the roots of the oak tree led to the water, descending into the riverbed. Cory waited for her eyes to adjust to the scene and she gasped when they did. Before them was the most colossal tree she had ever laid eyes on. It stretched upwards indefinitely, towering over the rest of the jungle. The tree bore strange markings that covered its entire surface in a series of uniformed patterns. Upon closer inspection, Cory realised what the markings were. A multitude of tiny walkways and flights of stairs had been carved into the bark of the mammoth tree. Miniature lanterns had been placed at regular intervals to light the pathways. Sandwiching each carved path and stairway were columns of po

Wow this book is already pulling me in. I hope they are mates. Love all your books Joanna. In your other books we know they are mates but not in this one. Sprout sounds so cute. I love how this is a different time period and different style of story than your other books. Excited for more

Absolutely loved this journey, this story was so different and creative I loved everything about it. Just the right amount of everything without being to much, I could really see this becoming a movie.

The Alpha's Desire and the Dragon's Fire

The Alpha's Desire and the Dragon's Fire

It was afternoon so there was still enough light to see what was outside. Within my line of vision was a huge oak tree. By its size and thickness of trunk, I could tell it was old. I could clearly see the deep indentations of its bark. An endless maze of texture and growth. I sat down cross-legged in the window seat, and began to sketch the aged tree. It was still bare from the winter season, but even without its foliage, I could see the beauty in something so pure and natural. Every time my pencil touched the page to make another mark, I became more and more absorbed in the task. My thoughts and current problems faded away.

Ice Cold - Part One: The Dark Zone

Ice Cold - Part One: The Dark Zone

The bark was wet from the constant spray of the streams. “Most of us call it the Twisted Oak,” Rowan responded to him. “Its growth pattern was altered by the waters that sprung from the mountains into the Oasis. But look more closely.” Rowan guided Alex’s attention with her hand to the space between the trees. As he looked around he noticed that there was something carved into all four trees. On two of the twisting oak trees positioned opposite from each other, a series of small circles were carved into the bark. Each tree had six circles cut away in a hexagonal formation. On the other two adjacent trees were six more circles carved in the same manner, except these shapes appeared to be pain

Falling For A Ghost 2

Falling For A Ghost 2

I found myself resting against the ancient trunk of an Iroko tree. The undammed trees were skyscraper tall making them the towers of the forest. The forest smelled strongly of rotten animals and wet woods. I felt the warm morning sun peeping through the leaves and branches to rest on my face and skin, forming unique patterns of light and shade on the forest floor.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve been hunting for digital copies of classics lately, especially lesser-known works like 'The Oak Tree.' From what I’ve gathered, it’s tricky to find this one as a PDF—it doesn’t seem to be widely circulated online. I checked a few digital libraries and forums where enthusiasts share obscure texts, but no luck yet. It might be one of those gems that’s still tucked away in physical archives or old anthologies. If you’re determined, I’d recommend digging into academic databases or reaching out to niche book collectors. Sometimes, a passionate community member might’ve scanned it privately.

That said, the search itself can be fun! I stumbled upon a bunch of other forgotten tree-themed poetry while looking, like 'The Willow’s Lament'—super melancholic but beautifully written. It’s wild how one hunt leads you down these weird, wonderful rabbit holes. Maybe 'The Oak Tree' will resurface someday when some librarian digitizes a dusty old volume. Till then, I’ll keep my eyes peeled in secondhand bookshops.
