Oliver’s jaw tightened. “Do it, but do it carefully.”
The healer nodded again and leaned forward to examine the wound. As he opened a small jar of medicinal salve, I felt Oliver’s aura intensify behind me, as if the entire room narrowed around him. It was different from before—much stronger, much heavier, like a storm gathering behind a fragile wall. Every instinct in me recognized the power radiating from him.
It was not the same aura he had before the spell.
