The Alpha’s Bastard Bride
Usually, the Alpha parked his transport in the secluded underground obsidian den garage, but today he pulled directly into the upper, open-air lot in full view of the arriving packs.
I pushed the heavy door open, stepping out onto the packed snow and waiting submissively to let him lead the way into the main building.
Kaelen cast a sharp glance over his shoulder at me, and I squeezed out a small, polite smile. “Go ahead, Alpha. I’m not going to cause any trouble for your line.”
“How would you know if my beast considers your presence a trouble?” he asked calmly, his eyes tracking the movement of the lower omegas walking toward the gates. “Unless, of course, you’re suddenly reading my mind?”
