Shadow Pack

Shadow Pack

He was the last descendant from the Old Council of Paphos Pack and the only Elder that lived on after the Great War. He sighed before he went to sit in the living room and turned on the television. The old man did not hear the unlocking of the locks that he thought would protect him. He was wrong and tonight will be the last night that he would ever be safe in the cottage that was decreed to him from the Old Council.

I'm Stuck in Another World with an Idiot

I'm Stuck in Another World with an Idiot

"Push through it. Life's tough young blood, but thinking about it next to a place full of shit is..." "oh! T-thank you..." This old man... I genuinely felt that. It's not the words, but the caring, wise old man air around him is infectious. He's about three inches shorter than me. Has a "hood rapper" accent. Dark-skinned and looks like he's approximately forty years old. He has a scar under his left eye, so I'd imagine this old man has been through the heavenly hellscape of life. Everyone I've met in this world so far has been nothing short of spectacular.

Dark Wolves

Dark Wolves

as he did what the rest of the herds will do with us What's the difference? I heard the sound of wailing and the crying of my mother to bring tears to my eyes with her. I feel really pressured and helpless as well, because I am not even strong to help the herd of carpenters..and it is my herd that will be destroyed He was an old man, with white hair due to many gray hairs, but he had a huge body His smile made me very angry while we were terrified and had not slept for the past days, he is here smiling "Didn't you empty the place of your trash?" He laughed and looked at us with contempt

Marriage contract with a Paralytic

Marriage contract with a Paralytic

the old man orders his only female daughter. She takes a few books out of her backpack and hands them out to everyone. People look at the leaves with laughter. "How is it possible for the story of that old man and the lady who is bedridden with cancer to be, if the ninety-year-old old man walks, and the one in this story doesn't?" they all think. "Let me finish reading" he says. So that they understand how things happened. "There I was going, straight to marry a man in a wheelchair that I didn't know..."

A Place To Call Home

A Place To Call Home

He was so ready to go home. All day has been nothing but running from room to room listening to elderly people complaining about the temperature of the room or the texture of their food. It's not like he could really do anything about either thing. He didn't cook the food, he just delivered it and he couldn't change the thermostat to make one person comfortable while everyone else got to suffocate in the heat. The best Cailen could do was offer another blanket but they never seemed to be happy about that either. The most exciting part of his day had been trying to track down an elderly man with dementia that was roaming the halls. He had found him in the lobby staring out the window in his h

Reborn, Pregnant, and Plotting

Reborn, Pregnant, and Plotting

“Do not worry, Bill. What I said in court is the truth. I grew up fighting for my life, and I will not let my people get hurt. So if you have problems, come to me. One rule only. Those with bad intentions will get hurt. Those who are good and loyal, I will take under my wing. In a few days, I can give you food if you have people willing to work.” The old man stared at her for a long moment, still pale, still weak, but no longer fading. His eyes moved from the dead attackers to the jug in his grandson’s hands, then to Vera’s round belly and the blood drying on her white dress. He had lived long enough in the garbage sector to know when something impossible had walked in front of him. The girl

Son Of The Betrayed-An Alpha King Wolf Shifter Romance

Son Of The Betrayed-An Alpha King Wolf Shifter Romance

He was a Carter. Rowan’s entire body tightened beside my shoulder, his muscles locking straight. Mara’s fingers flexed against her belt loop, her posture freezing. Takoda stopped two steps below the old man's level, his height rising to meet the platform. The absolute silence that followed the movement rolled outward across the hillside. The elder looked straight past Takoda's shoulder, his gold irises locking directly onto my face. “So,” he said, his voice rough and gravelly as it dragged through the quiet air. “A Dawson finally comes to the mountain.”

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The wind rushed through the open doorway. Rain soaked the floor. The storm was getting worse. Much worse. Then Lily looked outside. And froze. Because someone stood in the rain. A figure. Motionless. Watching the house. God. Not again. Fair. Not another mystery person. Reasonable honestly. Then lightning flashed. And everyone saw him. An old man. Very old. Holding a lantern. Despite the storm. Despite the wind. The lantern remained lit. Impossible. Then the old man spoke. His voice barely louder than the storm.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

In My Lonesomeness

In My Lonesomeness

They bathed together, ate together, and went shopping together, just like what a couple deeply in love would do. I didn't make a scene as I simply watched them show off their affection in silence. With five more days left in the divorce's waiting period, Julian suddenly suggested climbing a snow-covered mountain. He insisted that I come, too. Halfway up, Evelyn had left to get something, leaving Julian and me alone. The gentleness on his face vanished at once, replaced by a cold stare. "Why are you still hanging around here? Do you really think Evelyn will fall for you eventually?"
