But Carson interrupted, "Her name's Celia. We need to head to the lake." "Yeah, I got that. My question is for Celia." Mike made my name sound dirty as he said it. "What were you doing at the lake alone at this time of the morning?" For being only a couple of years older than me, Mike seemed like such an adult. He was unmated and had all the cockiness of a high-ranking member, he was only a second year Epsilon in our pack, but he definitely acted like he held a higher rank. He always had. Although younger, Carson out ranked him as he had gotten his wolf young, he had joined the warriors at age 14. I remember my Dad mentioning Carson because it was so rare to have a wolf at 14.

They didn't know she was trying to stop the urge from ripping their throats apart. Delaney notices many other shabbily clad hostages being dragged out of their cells as they make their way into the filthy hallway. She also discovered that the slaves were werewolves, not humans, after inhaling their scent. They were omegas. Omega wolves are the weakest of the wolf species, whose strength is compared to that of a human. The only difference is their super-hearing abilities, sense of smell and a few other things. They strolled aimlessly as if they had been subjected to a series of torments. Their eyes had darkened for a long time, replaced by pessimism and defeat.

My whole world changed that day actually. You see, on or around a wolf’s 12th birthday, their wolf’s status or rank can be scented by others, as our wolf is beginning to prepare to emerge. This also helps ranked wolves prepare the younger generation for their position, and responsibilities within the pack. The ranks are Alpha who is the leader of the pack. Beta who is the second to the Alpha. Gamma who is the third to the alpha. Deltas or warriors who are well the warriors or the packs protectors. Regular wolves who are the day to day wolves such as doctors, nurses, teachers, shop owners, and the like. The lowest ranked wolves are the Omegas. The Omegas are the maids, cooks, gardeners, baby

Another guy stood up, "I'm Ralph Bensen, a member of the beta hounds pack too. I like trekking. If you like to go trekking sometime, I'm pleased to help you." Lucian hit on Ralph's shoulder and made him sit in his place. "I'm Jacob Elrod, member of stealth Mane pack." "I'm Teo, a human." looked at the guys beside him and made a smile at me. "I'm Rudina Hart, alpha female of a howling jaws pack. Nice to meet you, Ms Hopper." Why are there so many werewolves in this class than humans? I saw the guy who helped me from the bus terminal to the school. The talkative guy? He's in this class too?

I didn't question my father's obsession with wolf artifacts and legends, I didn't question why she wore a protective necklace against something that only existed in my books. I didn't question how my father died, I didn't question anything. I just let life go with me, I let it heal from all the things that were left behind to move on. Soon we were ready, I left the house with the feeling that I should go back but still I went. The Hall was crowded, everyone surprised to finally see me out of my shell, out of the cave where I had been holed up since the day of the great pain. - I don't think I even know how many times that day I heard that phrase pounding in my mind.

Their colleague was frightened to death and was about to dial the police through the phone on the counter. Lucia gave Jackson a sign and he immediately hit a large frying pan on the girl's head. She fell to the floor. The wolf roared again while he gathered his strength. Without warning, he launched at Lucia, biting hard on her shoulder.
