The driver stepped on the gas, and we sped off to my mom's place. After a 40-minute drive, we finally arrived home. I paid the driver, and stepped out of the taxi. My hands trembled as I walked towards the door. I took a deep breath, pushed it open, and entered. Inside, I saw my sister Sally sitting on the sofa, watching TV. She turned to me, and I quickly approached her. "What's going on? Why does Mom want to see me?" I asked. Sally sighed, her hand gestures quick and fierce that if I blinked, I could miss the slightest detail. "Because I reported you to Mom."

I waited and I waited, I hate waiting, and once the clock chimed at 12, at that exact moment I heard footsteps, and then I saw mom walking toward the door. So fucking punctual. She walked out, and once I heard the door close, I tiptoed and unlocked the door, I cracked the door open, and I saw mom getting into her car. Fuck, I can’t follow her if she would be going to be a car, I don’t even have a fucking bike it’s with Mia. I hissed and closed back the door. Nelly’s POV “It’s finally happening Mom,” I said standing in front of her grave, I always visited their graves once a week, the town wasn’t far from where I was staying, just about an hour's drive.

I cannot go on the way I have been. The elevator dings, and the door opens. I greet the desk nurse, as always, and head straight to my mother’s room. The first thing I notice are the flowers. I smile and make my way over to mom’s bed, grabbing the chair as I pass it. Even the room smells nice from the floral arrangement.

How could I convince her to let me go? Taking a deep breath, I pushed the door open. The familiar scent of home wrapped around me, comforting yet making me hesitate even more. My mom was in the kitchen, humming softly as she stirred something on the stove. "Mom?" My voice wavered slightly, betraying my nerves.

As I was going up to my room, I just thought about what the new driver did earlier, starting from the way he grinned at me and looked at the side of my chest, I felt really bad.
