I need to play along until I find a way to escape. Yes. I should do just that. I hesitantly pick up the spoon, then scoop a spoonful from the bowl. Hmmmm...... It tastes good. better than the bread and soup I normally have for dinner. Very delightful. An aftermath buzz lingering in my mouth. Absolutely delicious. I take more spoons until my stomach couldn't take no more. "Am full." I say, then push the plate away. I feel like I would burst open like a tomato if I eat another spoon.

Why's your spoon so heavy? She lift the gold spoon like a body builder. "I think I'll grow some muscles just by using this spoon." She flex her arms and show her non existent muscles. I stop myself from smirking. I push all the food in her direction. She looks directly to my eyes and ask quietly "Are you sure?" He baby blues are full of hope and innocence. Must protect at all cost. The fuck? Where did that come from? I nodded at her. Sunshine shyly smile and thank me. I was surprise when she brings down her spoon and hold my hands to say grace.

The spoon wasn't the type to bend easily, but it did when I exerted my anger onto it, preventing me from speaking harshly. I smiled at him and looked at the spoon. "Wow... This spoon is really easy to bend. Am I a psychic or what?"

"It's good." "Damn straight. I'm the only one in the family allowed to make it." "It has a nice crunch." "Secret ingredient." He smiles staring down at the bowl. "Celery?" I guess. The little green slices easy to spot. "Well now you've taken the fun out of it." I reach for the spoon still hanging from his fingers in the air between us. "I could go for another bite." He tosses the spoon in the sink with a disgusted look. "Oh no. You've tasted the salad. It's time for the second course."

I thought he'd be proud to know I've memorised all the utensils on which to use for what but he's a tough one to please because I stutter the moment he asked me to demonstrate on how to use the spoon for soup in case it's hot. "You do it half moon crescent," he runs his spoon in the soup in front of him, "Not blowing it as if you're playing trumpet." I giggle again and pick up my soup spoon, copying his act, "Like this?"

I poured myself a bowl and took one spoon because I hadn’t eaten all day either. “Ugh!” I gagged and spat back the contents of my mouth. “Is it supposed to taste like this?” Jared shook his head no, trying to hold back a laugh. “This is terrible. How did you manage to eat the entire bowl? I can’t even go past this spoon.” He simply just looked at me and smiled. Maybe he did get affected when he hit his head because he wasn’t supposed to finish the entire bowl. Hell, he wasn’t even supposed to go past the first spoon but he happily ate it all like it was the world’s tastiest meal.

The only pieces of furniture was a worn out, dirty looking settee with lots of holes in its foam and a small round table with two chairs few feet away from it. The kitchenette was at one side of the room. The only equipments were a stove, toaster and a coffee maker. She didn't hesitate to look towards the cutlery area. Spoons! There were only spoons, no forks, no knives. "Now I wouldn't want you playing around with dangerous objects would I?" Marcus said with a wicked smile as though reading her thoughts. He stepped close to her. "Now why don't you go over there and make us a nice sandwich, mm? I sure have missed your cooking," he whispered close to her ear and played with the ends of her ma

Abigail I spooned the soup into my mouth like it was my punishment. Warm, bland, and textureless. I could tell it was good, probably some expensive place Daniel had ordered from, but to me, it might as well have been ash. I chewed mechanically, my eyes glued to the TV where an explosion lit up the screen in vibrant orange and yellow. The sound was muted. I wasn’t really watching. Just staring. The kind of stare where your eyes are open but your mind has long since wandered off into the darkness.
