They all remained close to the door, studying the room like they thought ghouls were lurking around, wanting to attack them.
After an absolutely thirty seconds but for the tick-tock of the wall clock, they all began swinging into action.
“Who's with torches?” Dr. Alvin Clarks asked as he walked to where the button was hidden.
“I do, sir,” one of the bodyguards replied. “I brought one for each of us but for these kids.”
Dr. Alvin Clarks nodded he pushed aside the small pile of books.
Less than a second later, one of his fingers was in the hole. The floor had began humming softly as it parted, revealing the dark, mysterious hole.
