Kayden stated with pride in his tone. “Your father has done well for the pack.” I admitted. Kayden nodded in agreement. “My father has worked really hard to maintain the pack. He wants the best for it and the members. Do you remember the war for most powerful spot?” Kayden asked taking a short glance at me. “I was born right after the war ended. I was just a tiny baby when my pack started doing great too.” I mumbled sarcastically. “Bumblebee.” Kayden muttered. “Yes my father calls me that all the time. He said that my birth brought peace to our pack.” I recounted the history my father had told me several times.

[ ID SCAN COMPLETE ] Name: Cassandra Kane. Father: Viktor Kane (Former CEO of Vex Corp). Alex went cold. She was the daughter of the man his father put in prison ten years ago. The daughter of their enemy. "This," Alex whispered, "Is going to be complicated."

Brendan sighed, “I… I don’t know.” He looked towards the truck, watching the warriors drag his eldest son’s limp body, weakened by the tranquilliser. His eyes dropped to the ground. “Your mother and I can’t do this. Not again. We… We can’t.” Placing a hand on Brendan’s shoulder, Rey offered a kind smile to his mate’s father. “We’ll get to the bottom of this for you, Beta Aetos.” Offering a weak smile in return, he bowed his head once in acceptance.

For some reason, the power of the Alpha didn’t transfer to me automatically. It went to Maximus—the man who was ten years older than me and the man my father took under his wing. Maximus and my mother, Teresa, came from the same pack. He was the son of my mother’s personal bodyguard before she met my father. So when Dad took my mother home after finding out she was his fated mate, Maximus’ father came with them to this territory to make sure she was protected. He took his whole family with him, and that included Maximus.

The old Mr Tucker looked away from his son, down at me, sitting at the end of the table. He smiled, and then winked. I smiled back. His son looked at the both of us in horror. Mr Tucker Snr was our country'’s Elon Musk, and at least eighty years old. He finally turned lazy eyes to his son, “Sit, or get out.” He spat. “Sorry, Father.” His son bowed deeply in apology, shot me a dirty look and sat beside his father. The rest of the Tucker clan began to file into the large room, each holding less love in their heart for me, till the woman who downright hated me walked in.

With that, he growled out loud, shifted into his wolf in an instant, and ran using his maximum speed until he reached the depth of the forest. Drew felt so lost, so down and his head was spinning in disbelief. "How come that he is the son of the Beta and Lexus is the son of the Alpha?" he thought with total disbelief. He knew that Lexus has extra special capabilities compared to him but he convinced himself that it was because Lexus has been being trained well by his Beta father since he was four years old.

The audacity! The maid's daughter. You reek of poverty! Know your place b*tch!!! My mother and I moved away three weeks later. She couldn't work for the Beaumonts anymore. She couldn't look at them, or breathe in that house where they'd smiled and accepted her service while her husband died from stress-induced heart disease caused by the debt they'd buried him in. Because I learned the truth eventually. My father wasn't just a scientist. He was a partner with Cassy's father, Marcus Beaumont. They were developing revolutionary AI technology together. Equal partners. Equal shares.

“Casya, what’s going on, boy?” Casya smiled and said, “Okay, Aunt, Om. How are you?” He tries to get along, even though it is sometimes difficult. Adrian’s parents are really good. Even better than his father because several times they had also met at such an event, and they were very humble. “Welcome to your birthday, Aunt Om.” The old man in Adrian smiled. “Thank you, dear,” he said honestly. “Who is here, son?” Well, this is the father Adrian who asked; his name is Om Bima.

He remembered everything his father had told him about their ancestors originating on Earth and being allowed to survive the first destruction. Two handsome men sat together. One had dark features and a touch of gray in his black hair. The other was young, strong, and muscular, with long, wavy black hair over his broad shoulders. Father and son shared a meal in their living quarters. It had been a long time since they could talk openly, not as commander and soldier, but simply as family.
