I saw very unusual things and creatures. I saw a group of men with the bodies of stallions. I caught glimpses a group of humanoid creatures with dark skin and pointed ears and tusks protruding from their mouth. It was like this place was a ground for creatures that belonged in myths and legends. The big red creature stood in the middle of the city where everything seemed to be on fire and proudly spread his thick branchlike arms. “This is Tartarus!” he exclaimed proudly. “Also known The Other side.” “The Rift,” I muttered as I recalled what the cursed witch said.

They were fucking WEREWOLVES! How did I really not see it though? … If werewolves were real, then, what else was? Vampires, Witches? Hell, why not Leprechauns, giants and unicorns too! Was there this whole other world of supernatural creatures that we didn’t know about, living amongst us? No, this was insane. This wasn’t real. This isn’t Twilight or True Blood or Vampire Diaries or fucking Buffy the Vampire Slayer, this was the real world and these things can’t be real!

Dozens… no, hundreds of them. Some were glowing figures with wings made of pure light—neither angel nor fairy but something far more divine. Others were in their wolf forms, massive and ethereal, fur flowing like smoke. Some shimmered in human form, their eyes glowing gold, silver, or midnight blue. Every one of them sparkled like stardust, as if they were made from the bones of the cosmos itself. This was not Earth. This was before Earth. Or beyond it. “Where… am I?” I whispered to no one. But the wind seemed to hear me. It answered with soft whispers in a language I didn’t know but somehow understood.
