The Invisible Heir
Julian couldn’t understand it.
Julian stepped outside. It was already dark, but that didn’t stop him from walking to clear his mind. The cold evening air blew against his face as he tried to clear his mind.
Sometime later, he found himself so consumed by anger and confusion that he hadn’t realized how far from the city he’d wandered. He was in a street he didn't recognize, with no way to get back.
Sighing, he pulled out his phone, ready to order a ride when a voice interrupted his thoughts.
