“Do you have the spell book?” Hazel nodded and reached for the spell book lying on the floor. She handed it to Halle, who snatched it from her hands and immediately flipped through the pages. The room was dead silent as Halle searched the book, her eyes scanning the ancient text until she paused. Her brow furrowed, and then her expression darkened. “The page…” Halle’s voice was low, laced with fury. “It’s been torn out.” “What?” Hazel leaned closer, her eyes widening as she saw that the page with the spell she had cast was indeed missing and ripped clean from the book.

It felt heavy in my hands, the weight of it somehow more than just physical. I flipped it open, the pages rough beneath my fingertips. The text was handwritten, the ink slightly faded but legible. Symbols, diagrams, and strange words filled the pages, their meanings just out of reach. I skimmed through the book, my gaze falling on a spell that seemed simple enough - a basic levitation spell.

"Let's do this then" Jenna gave the Ball back to Helen, went to her room and came back moments later with some candles and an old book. Helen dropped the Ball right beside her feet, placed the candles in a circular form and lit them. "Get in the circle.
