The living room looks like Santa’s workshop has exploded. There are remote-controlled cars zooming across the floor, dolls having a tea party on the couch, superhero capes hanging from lampshades, and at least four different kinds of sparkly shoes. James is running around with a dinosaur puppet that roars when he squeezes it, while Megan has somehow found a tiara and matching wand and is currently trying to “turn Dad into a frog.”
Dad goes with it. “Ribbit,” he croaks dramatically, falling to the floor like he’s just been cursed. Megan squeals in delight.
